crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
Today is the day! Marty does show up for Doc's experiment at 1:16, having grabbed Doc's video camera at the scientist's request. Doc enters theatrically with his modified DeLorean, and proceeds to stun Marty by sending Einstein one minute into the future. After Einstein comes back with no problems, Doc shows off his invention to Marty, having him videotape the inner workings of the machine. He also brings up that he invented the most important component, the flux capacitor, on November 5th, 1955. Remember that, Marty, that'll be on the test too. Doc also reveals that the time machine bits of the car run on plutonium, which understandably unnerves Marty. Doc doesn't help matters much by admitting he ripped the stuff of a group of Libyan terrorists.
After refueling, Doc prepares to go 25 years into the future. Marty gets ready to see him off, but things go horribly wrong as the Libyans show up. Doc is shot, and Marty is forced to flee for his life in the DeLorean. In the excitement, Marty turns on the time circuits, and then hits 88 while attempting to evade a heat-seeking missile. BOOM! Off to 1955!
Or is he? Roughly 10 minutes earlier, Marty arrived BACK from 1955, intending to warn Doc about the upcoming Libyan threat. Unfortunately for him, the DeLorean's engine dies, forcing him to try and race the van to the mall. He gets there just in time to see Doc get shot. :( After his younger self goes back in time and the Libyans crash, Marty races to see his best friend. There's a moment of uncertainity, but then -- yay, Doc is alive! He taped up Marty's letter from the past and wore a bulletproof vest to protect himself. And as we all know, in the movies, if you wear a bulletproof vest, you cannot get shot in the legs or head. It's one of the perks of being fictional.
Doc drives Marty home, then goes 30 years into the future, leaving Marty to get some much-needed sleep. Marty wakes up to discover his formerly-somewhat-sucky life has done a complete turn-around. He's pretty stunned, but this time it's a happy stunned. He and Jennifer reunite, just in time for Doc to ruin the mood by bursting onto the scene saying they have to come to the future with him. Something's gotta be done about their kids! They take off -- too bad they didn't check to see if Biff Tannen was watching in Part II.
After doing something about their kids and traumatizing poor Jennifer, the dynamic duo, unconscious girlfriend, and returned dog all come back to 9:00 P.M. They drop Jennifer off, then head back to Marty's place, somehow managing to miss all the signs that Hill Valley has become a dump. I guess time travel really takes it out of you. Marty is forced to break into "his" house, only to nearly get his block knocked off by the new family's father. He finally realizes he's in some sort of hellhole as he wanders the streets, and checks Strickland's paper to confirm it is the correct year. Strickland nearly takes his nuts for a trophy, but Marty narrowly escapes and runs to the Town Square. It's the biggest hellhole of all, dominated by the huge Biff Tannen's Pleasure Paradise.

-M: *wince* Okay, was that "nuts for a trophy" line really necessary?-
Yes. Yes it was.
-D: *rolls eyes* Though yes, the bulletproof vest trick is a nice perk of being fictional.-
I know! If only it worked in real life.
Things to do/talk about:
-->Played Twin Oaks Park -- it was a BTTF day, I wanted to do a BTTF family, I decided I wanted to play more with Einstein, so I played the Von Brauns through Friday.
-RPD: Ah. So where's the update?-
I took 64 pictures.
-RPD: O.O What happened today?-
Lesse -- Julia nearly killed herself, Einstein learned to be respectful, DocBots got up to Rank 4, both Verne and Doc earned bronze badges -- Verne in Sales, Doc in Restocking, Doc played fetch with Einstein and made friends, Verne met up with Tiffany again, Julia came home from work and passed out on her feet thanks to Einy hogging her bed, THE TESLA COIL IS GOD --
-TD: And I'M the one not getting enough sleep?-
Seriously, so glad this thing works with Pets! I gave Julia a power surge -- boom! Needs completely up! Beautiful! Oh, and I got the Leader of the Pack on the lot! His name is Baxter.
-VM: BAXTER? That's not a wolf name! Especially not for the "turn you into a werewolf" wolf! It should be -- Rambo, or something!-
LoL -- I rather like Baxter myself. Doc almost played fetch with him, but I thought it was better he got some sleep. Busy day.
-VD: We can see. But why no update?-
Well, I have to post my Sim Interview tomorrow anyway for [livejournal.com profile] simstorytellers, so I figured I'd update then. I really don't feel like doing a 64-piccer tonight, even if it is a BTTF date.
-VD: Understandable.-
Yeah. I'll share a few highlights, though:

Baxter, Leader of the Pack, tries to ruin our flowers. I have Verne chase him off.

-->Wrote a page on "The Gift and the Curse." I'm preparing to color "Tea, Anyone?" (the Hatter!Doc) picture right now. And I got comments from Moose and Ael about "We're All Mad Here," so you boys can't accuse me of doing nothing.
-VD2: Just not very much.-
Oh hush, I'll finish that drabbles88 before the end of the month. And though I may not be able to post chapter 9, I'll try and have Chapter 10 of "Boy Genius" done too.
-TD: I hope so. I think you're running out of steam.-
-DW: I dunno -- the Hatter!Doc thoughts are pretty Sparky too.-
Victorian steampunk rocks socks, and that's all there is to it.
-TD: *beam*-

-->On a serious note, Michael J. Fox was on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric this evening -- not live, but they aired a segment.
Christ. The guy was shaking so bad that his microphone fell off. It just -- ugh.
-VD2: Makes me want to smack Limbaugh doubly hard for what he said.-
Oh yeah, I think all of us can get behind that. That fucking asshole. *fumes*

-->My Alice costume is almost done -- we just have to cut my dark wig, make the extensions for my boots, and add bloodstains to the dress. Should get that done this weekend without a problem. We also need to pick up candy.
-VD: We need to do that here too.-
-TD: Let's put it to a vote this weekend -- I think we should hand out something homemade this year.-
Cupcakes maybe? That's what the Sims will have.
-DW: Intriguing. We'll consider it.-
-RPD: Do lots of people come on Halloween?-
-D: There was a good selection last year, at any rate.-
Ooh, will Agatha and Gil be coming again?
-TD: I think I can talk them into it.-
Yayz!

-->Installed Interactive Player on this computer -- though I watched appropriate clips on YouTube, I felt I should really do something with the actual DVD. I'm glad I did -- I like this screen for watching movies. And there weren't too many interruptions from stuff closing in the background either. Doing the BTTF thing on the appropriate days just became a lot easier, methinks.
-D: That's good then.-
-VD: Perhaps it'll inspire you as well.-
Hey, we can only hope. :p

And I'm off -- time to start coloring "Tea, Anyone?" and finish the Simterview. Also see about the "Breakfast" prompt.
