Back On Closing Shift

Wednesday AND Friday, it looks like. Thursday's off because of Thanksgiving.
-TD: So you don't necessarily have to go to bed earlier?-
Nope. I'll be aiming for 12:30/1:00 though, simply because I want some time to fiddle around on the web and stuff.
-RPD: How does this affect the Sims schedule?-
Well, it shouldn't, really. Lately I've been playing after six anyway.
-RPD: Good point.-
-VD: How about some writing then? I saw you editing Chapter 4 before.-
-TD: And you have some notes on "Boy Genius!"-
-HD: And when are my friends and I getting added to the muse list?-
Actually, I've got some good stuff with that -- I used that strange little "edit with notepad" option to get the LJ code, so I can a) do your bio and b) put in the bios I didn't have before for the other muses in the main Bios document. I also need to make a page for Eureka -- I just need to remember what aspiration everyone is. And all the names, frankly.
-VD2: Any more drabbles?-
-DW: She's got that angsty TAS bunny poking around again.-
-HD: *spits out tea* ANGSTY TAS?!-
-VD2: This girl can get angst out of anything.-
It's that stupid "what if Biffingham had brought an archer" bunny for "A Family Vacation." For some reason, I feel the need to punish Clara for locking him out of the car. *pokes it away*
-HD: NO! I am your HUMOR muse, woman! I shall remain untainted by angst!-
*hysterical laughter from other Docs*
-D: *wheezing* You are aware -- that in her version of TAS -- we get possessed -- by one of the Sluggy demons, right?-
-VD: Granted, it's not WRITTEN anywhere, but TASDoc does have the powers left over.-
-HD: . . . TEA, DAMN IT! *rather violently pours himself a fresh cup and sits down to sulk*-
-MHG: *back away, moving Dormouse Jennifer*-
-WRM: Er, can I ask what's with the Sluggy mix?-
TAS is just stupid enough that I just can't comprehend it "straight." I already deny it as a true continuation of the trilogy. It's some sort of alternate universe thingy to me.
-OD: Given your enthusiasm for AUs, you should love it.-
Heh, well, I have quite warmed to it. Though whoever decided Doc needed to have blue eyes needs to be poked repeatedly in the ribcage for the rest of his life.
-J: Same thing with whoever decided to turn me into that blond-haired 12-year-old chipmunk.-
*snrrrk* I LIKE that. . . .
Yup, decided to drop in on the Hardnames today and make sure they were all right. Baby Christopher is doing fine -- well-loved by his parents. :)

Yay for seeing the nursing mod does seem to work all right. (I like it simply because it's a bit more convienent than the bottle)

J.C. and Henry became best friends today, filling major wants for both of them. Helped with job and school performance too, what with it capapulting them into platinum.

Jim had a day off, so I let Adelaide and Henry both head off to work. Jim took care of the place pretty well, though he has an unusual way of doing dishes. Seriously, I love the "lick clean" option. :p

He also handled changing Chris admirably -- thank god no one in this household fears changing dirty diapers!

Jim makes a great uncle for the kid. :D

Jim put Christopher down for a nap and chatted with his friend Dom for a while -- J.C. got home from school and took over child care duties for a bit.

*snrrk* Jim's getting popular.

Adelaide came home with a promotion to Surgeon -- she and J.C. celebrated with red hands.

Adelaide and Jim also tried the talking thing again, but, as usual, it ended in tears. I swear, they have NOTHING in common.

Henry also came home with a promotion to Specialist (he seems to be exactly a rank behind Adelaide.) As he needed skills, I sent him to play with the dummy. Adelaide also did some studying as J.C. chatted up Ripp and Jim hung out.

Dom called Jim back, and eventually, after feeding and changing Chris again, everyone went to bed. I leave you on this pic of J.C. and Chris together.

Looking forward to seeing what the sprog looks like as a toddler.
Since I had a little time, I popped over to Eureka and started on the Pleasure Paradise for that universe.

Exterior -- big concrete parking lot, (though I still have to add the actual spaces), tacky coloring inside. I used a circles pattern carpet in orange for the first floor, white tiger stripes for the second, and orange tiger stripes for the third.

Aforementioned floors -- it's kind of dark, so I won't blame you if you can't see anything. There's a small gap in the second floor where I hollowed out the museum. Dunno what I'll do with it just yet.

First floor, with the room I partially did -- the hot tub/steam room. Red and black are the themes here. I was going for a somewhat sleazy look.
-RPD: Looks all right.-
-VD2: Ugh. Must we have one of these things?-
Sowwy. Really not sure how I'm going to wallpaper it though. Anybody know of any wallpaper that looks like neon?
And now, I must get to work.
-OD: How about that drawing?-
I don't think I could FINISH it in time for Thanksgiving, but I'll have the sketch up.
-OD: *tentacles confer* All right, that's acceptable. Especially since your next finished picture should be that Marty-themed idea.-
Yay. *hugs*
