God, I Miss This Show

-Docs: *look torn between laughing with me and berating me for procrastination*-
Oh, join in already, it'll do you good.
-M: You love audience Sound Effects a little too much, I think.-
I admit that Ryan does the effects better, but I like how the audience members handle it. The Tarzan sketch girls were the only two I've seen really having fun with it.
-J: I'd be so scared, having to do the effects.-
That's what makes it funny! :)
-VDM: Like you could do any better?-
Hell no, I'd be making random-ass noises. In fact, I'd probably be too petrified to make noise at all.
-D: That never seems to be an issue with anyone else. I'm sure you'd be fine.-
Thanks.
I haven't been completely useless today -- got a page on "The Gift and the Curse" done.
-OD: Which the kids and I appreciate, but you have so many more projects to do! And Christmas is just 56 minutes and 10 days away!-
I know! Look, I can guarantee you the drabbles88 fic, that's almost done anyway. And I shouldn't have any issues posting the first chapter of "Marty In Wonderland" to devART.
-TD: That leaves "Boy Genius" edits and your still-untitled
backtothefanfic challenge fic.-
Yeah, got to pick up the pace on those two, I admit. Though the Untitled Fic (which I'm contemplating calling "Deck the Halls" or "All I Want For Christmas") is going along more smoothly now -- I think I've hit my groove.
-VD2: Good.-
-RPD: I know. I am the muse who almost never has to poke you.-
It's good to be in charge of my favorite computer game, isn't it? Anyway, today's update is from Hill Valley -- thanks to changing banks this afternoon and a late dinner, I got on late and decided to play the Elder Tannens to keep things simple. After playing red hands with each other to get fun and social up, Gertrude worked out while Buford played some darts and started a picture.

Gertrude eventually got fit -- still looks like a mummy, though.

They have toaster pastries for breakfast. Buford talks about that matchmaker he has two lightning bolts with, Lakshmi.

Then I have Gertrude study cooking while Buford cleans himself up. She made some very scary faces while looking at that book.

-M2: Yeeps. No wonder Biff is the way he is.-
Yeah, I know. Gertrude goes down for a nap while Buford excercises and cleans up one of his frequent shower messes. (Did it autonomously too, which surprised me.)

He also starts a convo with Lakshmi ("Did you hear about the new television things?"), but I quickly cut that short when I notice Doc Brown's wandered by. Ooh, now we should see some fireworks!

. . . Doc, what the hell. You just admired Buford.
-D: O.O-
-HD: What is WRONG with SimUs?-

Now they're having a pleasant chat about wizardy and ghosts. Guys? You're supposed to hate each other.

Buford attempts to HUG Doc (dude, you're ONE NICE!), but Doc regains his senses enough to realize that is a bad idea.

"I know I'm angry at you because we both have double minus signs over our heads!"

. . . Why are you hanging out? And why the hell are you talking about peace, Buford?? Can we get these Sims a script?

Doc, however, retains enough smarts to not want to visit the Tannen outhouse -- he'll go home now.

Buford has spaghetti for dinner as Gertrude heads off to work. I was hoping he might start a fire so I could drive him bonkers, but no luck. Ah well.

Lakshmi also calls back to finish their interrupted conversation.

Buford heads to bed shortly before Gertrude comes home. She's made Recruit, maxing out her career. You could look a little happier about it, Gertie.

I have her study Cooking again for a while before sending her to bed. Save and exit.

-RPD: Any plans for a pet for them?-
I'm tempted to get them a dog, but I'm afraid the dog would outlive the humans. Might make for an interesting future adoptee, though. I want to get the Elder McFlys a dog too, they seem like dog people.
-M: *nodnod* Yeah, a sheepdog or border collie or something.-
Bingo. :)
-VD2: Speaking of Sims, nervous about the wedding tomorrow?-
A little. Part of me wants to start my first Sims video project and use the video record feature to capture the special events camera doing the wedding. Problem is, I'm a little worried about the video quality. It's currently at medium -- I could try setting it to high, but the last time I did that, it gave me a "high-end machine" thing.
-TD: I though the HP WAS a high-end thing.-
Everywhere but the graphics card. *grumble*
anonymoose_au suggested I save shortly before the wedding and just watch it like that. I just -- really want to see this cutscene. It would be so cute with them. . . .
-OD: *tentacles chitter* Can you split the difference? That is, do what Moose suggests, but videotape the cutscene, then pause and minimize the game to see how the video came out?-
Hmm. It's a thought, though I'm worried I'd get the "blue screen crash." But hey -- I could try videotaping it, then doing pictures afterwards. I don't think a video would be wiped if I didn't save -- pictures never are.
-RPD: This is going to be the wedding of the century, isn't it?-
Well, it's an important day for
revison_doc. After two very unsuccessful relationships and two very unconventional kids, he's finally found the one. I want it to be just perfect. Ugh, I hope I can sort out bathrooms okay. . . .
-HD: Guess you won't serve tea then?-
We have the toasting set. I just hope I've got noautonomoustoasting in, otherwise the guests will be at it all night!
Okay, time to try and get to work.
-D: We all know what's really going to happen. . . .-
Hush up, I'll try and devote a full hour just to writing tomorrow. I promise.

Your's should go all right though, mine's slow because my processor isn't super fast, but if your's is high end.
And the Wedding of the Century isn't Doc and Gypsy's, it's George and Lorraine's! ;O) Just you wait!
PS. Whose Line pwns! They totally need to release DVDs of it!

Date: 2006-12-16 08:51 pm (UTC)And thanks for the confirmation, Moose. :) The one video I have deliberately taken (of Gypsy buying her cell) came out okay at medium, just small. I'll give it a shot, though.
LOL, now I'm wondering what you have planned for George and Lorraine. . . .
(And dudes -- not only have they fucked up the update window, I'm not getting comments e-mailed to me! O.o Good thing I noticed you replied.)

Date: 2006-12-19 04:51 am (UTC)You want to beat up Monty Hall and his family? What'd the Halls ever do to you? You're running down the street, screaming "DECK the Halls, DECK the Halls!" *makes punching movements at "DECK"*
Why, yes, I am sleep deprived. Why do you ask?
