End of year malaise?
-VD: Just write something!-
-VD2: You have an idea for the "home" prompt!-
I know! Look, tomorrow, after I spend an hour or so on the net, go ahead and poke me until I give you an hour just with Wordperfect.
-OD: We can do that.-
-TD: Hopefully your New Year's Resolution will be to stop procrastinating so much!-
I'd make it, but I doubt I'd keep it. Let's look at it in terms of stories I should finish:

-D: "Time Mix-Up" shouldn't be too hard, you're practically halfway through already.-
I know. Same with "Gift and Curse." And "Marty In Wonderland" -- inspiration comes in bursts, but when it does, it just hums. :) "V.D." and "Boy Genius" are the biggies.
-TD: Can we talk summer finishing date?-
Yeah, that seems like a good place to aim for. I'm not sure what other projects I'll be taking on -- another Tales of the Muses sounds good. January first, I should really spend the day doing the cataloguing work I got that big purple notebook for.
-VD: Now THERE'S an idea.-
I know, I know. Also should get printer ink and paper, so I can print off a few things.
-RPD: *currently corporal* Oh? Who adopted?-
The Elder McFlys. They seemed the type to have a dog. After a mildly-traumatizing breakfast (Maggie served and ate in her undies):
Maggie called up the Pet Adoption agency and got a puppy. The cop came right as day broke, introduced herself to Will, and left the puppy with him.
Isn't he kyoot? His name is Maxx -- He's a Genius dog, who's Independent and Finicky. I splurged on a pet dish for him so he'd be more inclined to eat, and got all the other necessary accountments for pet life. (I also got a fountain for Will, who was dying for a sculpture.) Isn't it silly how puppies and kittens have to practically climb into the bowl to eat?
I chose Maxx primarily for his Genius trait -- they're very easily trainable, I've found. Maxx has already been fully trained to only eat pet food, and he's almost learned to stay off the furniture and beds.
And of course, always best to start housebreaking early. I was going to have Maggie scold him, but Will and his easel blocked the way. Perhaps it's time to expand the house a bit.
In fact, I KNOW it's time to expand the house a bit. You see, Will had his lady friend Andrea over. They flirted a little, and Will asked her what she wanted. Apparently she wanted to earn some money -- guess she's a Fortune Sim like him!
Well, Will's big want was to propose to her, and it's getting hard to keep him happy -- so I went ahead and had him pop the question. Andrea said yes, and all was well.
-RPD: Have they ever been out on a date?-
Nope. I might send them on one pre-wedding, though. They did celebrate the engagement with a kiss.
LoL, I love this shot: "Oh, WOW, he's a good kisser."
-M: Surprised you didn't get it on video.-
Heh, maybe the next engagement. I do want to play around with Sims videos more, though. Maybe film some footage from DocBots?
-OD: That would be interesting.-
:) Anyway, most of the day was spent playing around with little Maxx. Seamus and Maggie adore the little guy. They keep picking him up to play or giving him treats. I guess they consider him a grandpuppy.
There was also some skilling them, and Maggie called up her friend "Clint Eastwood" to discuss Seamus's obsession with hats.
She also served one of my new custom foods -- eclairs! Took a faceplant in hers, unfortunately.
Seamus liked them, though. Yum yum.
And after putting everyone to bed, I saved. Can't wait to see what Maxx looks like as an adult.

Thanks. :) I have to say, I like Sims 2 Pets. Much more fun than Sims 1.
-TD: Of course, we all know the expansion pack you're really excited about is Seasons.-
So I like Sim gardening, sue me. Come on, Maxis, host a chat! I want to find out what exactly we can grow!
-HD: O.o She really IS into gardening, isn't she?-
One of my favorite portions of Sims 1. Adore it. I plan for almost everyone in Eureka to grow something -- maybe not Barty, he was blacklisted from his farming family. The seasons seem cool too, but bring on the gardens!
-HD: *quietly* And I'M insane. . . ?-
*sticks out tongue at him*
Okay, have to do a bit of writing before I'm killed.
-VD2: At least write more on "Marty In Wonderland." You're on an Alice kick, it should be easy.-
-RPD: She also seems to be focused on Eureka in an odd way.-
Narbonic -- I'm thinking about Emma and Emmett's Mad Genius breakthroughs.
-TD: Are you going to write that BTTF/Narbonic crossover?-
