Plotline Ahoy?
Jan. 9th, 2007 11:43 pmJust spent some time with my Beta email about "Boy Genius" (I copied it into its own WordPerfect file), hashing out what I want to happen, and I think I've got something plausible that still "fits" into the original mold of events -- and doesn't fuck with the Sturmhalten stuff. Because, as much as I'd like to spare Agatha that, come on. Battle Circus. Klaus being badass. GIANT WAGON DINGBOTS.
-TD: So, work can begin anew on that?-
Yup. I'll probably start again this weekend, after reading some more canon during this week. I think I can get away with grabbing Maxim from the rescue party, but let's reread to make sure he doesn't do anything insanely important. I mainly recall him fanboying Veilchen.
-H: *beam* So I get to keep my boyfriend?-
I think I can swing it. Emily meeting and falling for Ardsley will have to happen off-screen between sequels, though.
-E: I can live with that.-
-D: What about other stories?-
I'm averaging one and a half pages a day for both "Gift and Curse" and "Time Mix-Up." "Time" feels a little rough, but it's a first draft, so I won't worry overmuch about it. They're both getting close to the end.
-VD: And then what?-
I was thinking rewriting "Boy Genius" in the journal, but I'm not sure about other projects. Perhaps I'll spend some time with the purple notebook.
-VD2: *patpats head* Of course, sweetie.-
*glares* I AM going do to something with that!-
-DW: You really should at least put your Sim information in. Like your challenges.-
Yeah, really. Be easier just to print them out, of course, but I can swing handwriting it. Ink's expensive.
-HD: How's the typing going?-
Well -- I got a small chunk on "Marty In Wonderland" done earlier, and I'm doing another Drabbles88. Finally using one of the time prompts, though it isn't a time-travel ficlet.
-HD: *suspicious* Why do I think this has something to do with American McGee. . . .-
It's not in the actual McGee universe, if it makes you feel better. It's sort of a postscript to the "Marty Dreams Wonderland" trilogy stories.
-MF: Good. Cause whenever you have an idea about the McGee Marty, it creeps me the hell out.-
It DOES have a happy ending, you know.
-MF: Even still. . . .-
Let's visit Agatha and Gil! They're doing well, having just passed their last senior finals. They'll stay for a couple of days to skill and maybe earn their silver robotery badges, then throw a graduation party and move on out. I also have to have Gil propose (and get it on video :D).
-VDM: That'll be something to share with the Yahoo Groups.-
LoL, yeah. Romance is in the air anyway -- Gil and Agatha autonomously hugged romantically when I left them alone:

Gil kissed Agatha's hand at my direction:

And I had an interesting double heartsbubble moment -- Gil had a "whoo, she's hawt" moment walking by, while Agatha bragged about him to her friend on the phone.

Romance wasn't the only thin on their minds, though. There was plenty of studying and stuff like that. Agatha finished her term paper today (
anonymoose_au, your typewriters rock socks):

And Gil had to do a couple of assignments to keep up his grades. Worked though -- they both graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Gil also spent a bunch of time at the robot bench, making both a hydrobot and a cleanbot. I'd like for at least one of them to get their Silver badge before leaving college.

Agatha's time was spent more in funning up and gaining social -- poor girl was starved for attention. I had her friend Gil's friend Demi Love, since they already had a nice head start. Gil and Demi chatted as well. (Incidentally, my Sims seem to love talking about cooking fires.)

They're happy, for the most part -- the money tree farm is doing well, they have enough cooking points for stuff like pancakes, and they're gaining skills. What more could a couple of Knowledge Sims ask for?

Funny Sims moment of the day: Agatha cleans up the dishes, but instead of using the kitchen sink, she goes and uses the bathroom sink. Poor Gil has his nice bubble bath interrupted.

And of course, Agatha is shocked at his audacity to be naked in the bath afterwards -- unfortunately, wasn't quick enough to snap a pic.
-RPD: Sims. . . . What's on the plate for the rest of the week?-
Tomorrow is probably a Kat and Mark update for
revison_doc. Then Friday I'll play Joe Statler, since I have the day off. Weekend I'll play the McFly/Robinson household and get Dave and April on a date, then probably Von Braun, since I'm playing DocBots again. Eureka updates will be from Carters and Tannen, as usual.
-RPD: Interesting. Still planning on getting video footage of DocBots?-
If I can keep my hand off the pause button, yes. Should be interesting to have Gypsy there to help out.
-D: Register girl, you think?-
Probably, yeah -- though I'll have a second one for Vernie to man, of course. Come on, new rank!
-VD: Edits! My kingdom for "V.D." edits! *pokepokepoke*-
Okay, okay, I'll go! Sheesh.
-HD: *conversationally* You are aware you're poking a woman who just got what is commonly known as "the curse," right?-
-VD: *backs off like whoa*-
-OD: Dirty pool to get more on "Marty In Wonderland," or simple concern for a fellow Doc?-
-HD: *drinks tea* Little of both, really.
-TD: So, work can begin anew on that?-
