Let's Make This Fast

Computer giving me more shit with Sims. A look through the archives of thesims2 leads me to believe my problem is twofold:
1. The freeze and restart thing looks like overheating;
2. The "go to blue just-freshly-maximized loading screen" looks like an nVidia problem.
*sigh* To think I got this piece of shit to run Sims BETTER. At least with the Vaio's slow lots, I wasn't worried about crashes.

At least I got some writing done -- I did some computer maintence during the afternoon (after IE hit a problem with a flash thingamabob), so I got a page on "Boy Genius." And Tracey got me another chapter of "Marty In Wonderland" comments and questions, despite her own computer troubles, so I'll be looking over that.

I've also watched the entire Angry Nintendo Nerd series, which does wonders for a bad mood, let me tell you. The Friday the 13th/Nightmare on Elm Street/Power Glove series is beautiful, let me tell you. And he's branched into Sega and other gaming systems now. Not to mention some movie rantage. I'm looking forward to more of his work.

Okay, gotta write -- the muses are happy with the journal writing, thankfully, but I should get some typing done too.

Ugh! I'm sorry to hear about your computer stress. That sounds like an absolute pain in the ass.

My computer hasn't had any more episodes, so I don't know if tonight's incident was just a fluke. I hope so.

My computer has been a bit slow on the lots (it will freeze up when the carpools show up and such). I was going to look into an upgrade, but after reading about your aggravation, I think I'm just going to leave well enough alone.
