crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (EEK)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
-D: At least it keeps her mind off that "Strip Poker with Gilgamesh Wulfenbach, Maxim, Richard 'Mad Hatter' Dodgson, and ME."-
-VD: What exactly have you been listening to all day?-
A compliation:
"What Drugs Were the 80s ON?" Videos
Video Killed the Radio Star
You Spin Me Round
We Built This City
Total Eclipse of the Heart (Yes, featured before, but not even the ones previous match up to how freaking WEIRD this video is)
-M: On behalf of all 80s musicians, I'd like to apologize.-
-M2: We're not ALL this twisted, honest.-
"I'm Obsessed With Corpse Bride, Now Shut Up" Videos
Dance Dance -- Tim Burton's Corpse Bride -- perhaps an oddly upbeat song, but the clips match pretty well.
Running Away -- Victor and Emily -- another good clip-matcher.
Living Dead Girl -- Corpse Bride -- naturally, Emily-centric.
Dead Girls (Emily/Victor) -- Voltaire wins. A very humorous look at Emily/Victor.
Corpse Bride -- The Boy Is Mine -- FREAKING PERFECT. I can SO imagine karoke night with Emily and Victoria singing this to each other, while Victor strangles himself with his tie in the audience.
-VD2: *chuckle* Is it just me, or are most of these Emily/Victor?-
*shrug* More of those fans on YouTube, I don't know. I'll read either pairing, so long as it's done well.
-DW: I think we can consider this an official fandom by now -- she's had the crossover thoughts.-
-OD: I'm afraid to ask.-
-HD: I'm not! Who's who?-
-DW: She's only got a few roles planned out -- us as Victor, of course --
-TD: *sigh* Like she'd have it any other way.-
-DW: Clara as Victoria --
-OD: *pause* That does NOT sound right!-
*giggle*
-DW: Buford as Barkis, Marty as Bonejangles --
-VM: o.O Wha?-
Best fit I could come up with.
-HD: *frowning* But who's the Corpse Bride? I don't fancy Lorraine or Jennifer.-
-RPD: I swear to God, Vicky, if you make those crossover thoughts like your Sims --
-HD: *spittake* What?! Our Simselves fancy Lorraine and Jennifer?!-
And Marie Robinson, and Jane Parker, and Holly Handlen, and. . . .
-RPD: Our Simself could basically become a male gigolo and do very well at it.-
-HD: *fanning self with tea saucer* Every day I learn something disturbing. . . .-
-TD: So, who is the Corpse Bride?-
-DW: . . . Guess.-
*extends hand* You may kiss the bride!
-TD: Oh HELL no.-
-D: On the plus side, I guess this means she does defer in favor of more canonical pairings.-
:p Only sort of.
-DW: I do not need to eat the fantasies.-
Relax, I confine those to under my bed. They eat the dust bunnies.
-VD: Can we move on? Planning on doing any writing today?-
-RPD: Or, at the very least, can you make your backup already?-
Hang on, I think I can get a drabbles88 posted. I've got two in the wings, you know.
-VD2: Oh good.-
Yeah -- the Addams/BTTF one needs a little more fine-tuning, I think, but this muse-related piece should be all right:

48. He
“What’s it called again? Deviant Art?”
Doc nodded, knocking back another apple juice. “Yup. If you ever want to find porn about yourself, that’s the place to go. That and FanFiction.net.”
One of his drinking companions drummed pale fingers on the bar. “I don’t get it,” he finally said.
“Don’t get what?” the third man asked, rocking back and forth on his barstool.
“Why us? Of all the men in fiction, why us? I was confused enough when I found two women after me. I can’t imagine hundreds.”
“Well, Victor, in your case, I think it’s the curse of Johnny Depp.”
Victor Van Dort looked up, startled. “The what of what?”
“Your voice actor’s Johnny Depp, so naturally you’re getting all of his usual fangirls,” Doc explained. “And then there are women attracted to the pale, shy, sensitive types, you know.”
Victor frowned. “I still – I don’t think I’m that handsome.” He looked down at himself. “Victoria says I’m good-looking, but I don’t know. . . .”
“The girls are always telling us we’re good-looking too,” Doc said, glancing over at his other selves gathered around the pool table. “I’m not sure if I believe it either.”
“I’d believe them,” the third man said, taking a drink of his tea. “Victor had two women, and between you and the others, you’ve got four – five if you count your author. I’ve only got one.”
“And what a one you’ve got,” Doc said with a smile. “Alice ever tell you you’re good-looking, Richard?”
Richard Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as the Mad Hatter, leaned forward. “She won’t let me criticize my nose, at any rate,” he shrugged, the gears and metal in his body clicking. “And she likes to mess up my hair if I’m not wearing my hat.”
“Which is almost never, I’m sure.” Doc looked thoughtfully at his two companions. “I’ve never understood the attraction myself. I’m 65, practically broke, obsessed with inventing, and I live in a garage. What’s there for a girl to like?”
“Aren’t you married as well?” Richard asked. “At least Victor and I are still single. And before you say anything, Victor, you and Victoria weren’t officially married at the end of the movie.”
Doc chuckled as Victor gave Richard a glare. “Depends on what universe with Vicky. And I don’t think that would stop most fangirls.”
“Probably not,” Richard nodded. “I mean, if me being almost completely clockwork isn’t enough to throw them off. . . .”
Victor shook his head, then smiled wryly. “A toast then?” he suggested, lifting his glass.
“A toast,” Doc agreed. “To those of us with fangirls – and no idea how we got them.”

-D: O.o A bar? I understand I'm drinking apple juice, but still -- a bar?-
*shrug* It felt appropriate. I just wanted to do a piece on some "you wouldn't think they'd be so popular" characters.
-D: You do summarize our feelings quite adequately, I think.-
-VD: I hope Victor's not drinking alcohol -- he seems like the type to get drunk easily, especially with that stick-thin body of his.-
I know. Drunk!Victor can be so funny, though. . . .
-HD: Excuse for you to get three cute boys in the same room together?-
A little. Victor's there mostly because of my recent love of Corpse Bride -- if I'd done this at another junction, I might have made it Gil or Madblood.
-DW: And I'm sure that leads it right back around to those "Strip Poker" bunnies.-
*beam*

And now, to finish up my YouTube watching for the night, make my backup, and head to bed at a decent hour -- I've got a busy day tomorrow!
-RPD: Oh, finally getting the video card put in?-
Yup! And getting Seasons! *giggles with glee*

Oh yeah, I know -- I happen to like ALL the songs featured. I just thought the videos were wacked out.

I'll bet the 90s had its share too, yeah.
