Wonderland Is Making a Resurgence
Mar. 6th, 2007 11:15 pm-HD: Beautiful!-
-WRM: Must make editing the fic easier.-
Yeah, it does. Though, really, it's hard to find ANYTHING that isn't mixed with Wonderland in one way or another. Heck, I found a bit of art that crossed Wonderland with Corpse Bride.
-HD: o.O?-
It's Here
-OD: . . . Suddenly I see why you're intimdated whenever you browse devART.-
See?!
-HD: It's a lovely picture, to be sure. But it's wrong.-
-D: You think Emily should be involved?-
-HD: Would be nice. But -- Victor just doesn't make a good Mad Hatter. He doesn't have the proper temperament for it.-
Yeah, I thought that myself. Victor would be better as a character from the second book -- specifically, that sweet White Knight who's always falling off his horse.
-HD: *nodnodnod* MUCH better.-
-VD: Despite your obsessions with all things Warped Victorian --
I like that.
-VD: -- How did the writing go?-
Mostly worked on "Marty In Wonderland" computerwise. Got two pages on "Boy Genius" 2.0 and 1 1/2 pages on "From the Ashes Reborn."
-VD2: Not bad, not bad. Any ideas for the latest
backtothefanfic challenge?-
-DW: *sniffs plotbunnies* None that I've seen so far. . .-
*smarmy* That's because they're the kind I keep under my bed.
-D: WE ARE NOT INTO BONDAGE!-
*giggle* I know, I know, I'm sick. . . .
-HD: Do I have to pick up my chair again?-
-RPD: Let's move on -- how about Sims?-
Strangetown's Browns started at 1:30 in the morning. Damn, I thought I was getting better at saving closer to morning. Ah well, new EP -- I'll deal. I spent most of the early morning hours watching Einstein.

That little sun symbol over the usual "plusgood" symbols indicates the relationship got a boost from the season -- it's waning summer in Strangetown, and that means all friendship actions get a boost.
-M: Useful!-
Yeah, I know. I also got my first experience with leftovers today -- not everyone finished their waffles this morning, so I had Lorraine stick them in the fridge, along with the one remaining serving. Eileen and Lorraine later gobbled them up in the afternoon.

I got a fair amount accomplished today, actually. Einstein has learned to be calm and respectful, and Doc successfully taught him the command "come here." Einy's such a good doggy.

Well, mostly. He still needs to learn not to be filthy. Not only did he dig up the yard, he tried to eat the trash!

-D: Einstein!-
Well, I was actually kind of hoping for someone to knock over the trash. You see, I gave the lot a bit of a makeover. . . .

-VD2: Aha. Gardening!-
Precisely. The Browns have one each of the apple, lemon, and orange trees, and I think 10 plots of earth. And I need stuff to compost. Doc did a newspaper, but that didn't seem like nearly enough. . . .

-OD: So Einy knocking over the trash was a blessing in disguise.-
Basically. More compost is always good.
-RPD: Have they started growing anything in particular?-
Well, after the newspaper was composted, Lorraine planted a plot with tomato seed. That's it at the moment, though.

-TD: No greenhouse? You seem the type to play for top quality, and a greehouse would maximize that.-
No room. I put up two ladybug houses, just in case.

-VD: Prudent idea. I also noticed a little "oasis" in the back.-
Yup, my Sims shall fish as well. Lorraine tried some herself.

She's not very good at it, though. Her only catch was the boot.

Emmett L joined her after a little while -- he didn't catch anything, poor guy.

-VD2: Just give me some time to practice.-
Heh, well, fall's coming up, and that's the skilling season, so you guys should be pros in no time.
-RPD: Anything else of note happen?-
I had Marty over -- he got to know Emmett L, but they didn't get along very well.

-VD2+VM: O.o-
Yeah, unfortunately they have dissimilar interests. Phone convos seem the way to go -- easier to change the subject there then in face-to-face interactions. Other than that, mostly the usual -- Emmett and George made robots, people played the instruments, same thing. Though Emmet L. did make Test Subject at work.
-VD2: Good for -- me, I suppose.-
Heh. You're on your way to greatness, trust me.
Ending on a funny picture -- Doc finishing his "self portrait":

And a cool one -- reflections don't lie!

And now, I'd better get cracking. At the very least, I have to come up with a non-dirty entrapment for the BTTF characters.
-TD: You'd better!-
-HD: I've heard self-reliance is a virtue -- now, you've heard it.-
*pause* Dude.
-HD: What?-
*suddenly VERY smug* DUDE. That's from "American McGee's Alice."
