TOO MUCH RAIN

-M: What are you talking about? It was 70 and perfect here today!-
-D: Perhaps she means the rain later in the week?-
-RPD: *chuckling a little* Nope, she's referring to Eureka. You should see the faces she pulls at her Sims sometimes.-
Ha ha ha. Seriously, what is UP with that neighborhood -- specifically, Emmett Brown's dorm? It is ALWAYS RAINING. The other lots get their fair share of precipitation, but with him -- he can't go five minutes without having a thunderstorm!
-TD: Perhaps he's been overdosing on mad cackling. That would attract mood lightning.-
Maybe -- he did earn two Bronze talent badges today. One for toy-making, one for gardening. He also picked a lovely crop of 20 tasty tomatoes, despite the fact the rain overwatered his plants. *glares at the Prima Guide* Can't overwater my ass.
-TD: Greenhouse?-
He's a poor college student, he can't afford it. Not to mention his plots are in the wrong place for one. Aiy-yi-yi. . . .
And here's another interesting thing for you -- I just had to screencap this:

-TD: . . . Even I think that's a little odd.-
-DW: *curious* What's the gardening want?-
He wants an orchard tree -- maybe later. I want to get him a robot bench first.
-RPD: To be fair, we're talking about simulated creations who regularly express shock at bathing people being naked.-
LOL, good point. But Emmett!Sim should be smarter than that.
Anyway, now that I've got that out of my system, I'll meme than write. Thanks for finding my motivation, HatterDoc.
-HD: *pouring himself some tea* My pleasure, though I would have prefered it if you'd used it on "Marty In Wonderland."-
Yeah, but I do want to get "What Lies Within" done. I'm going to do my best to have the next chapter of "Marty In Wonderland" -- and "V.D." too VampDoc -- up this week.
-VD: You'd better. I don't think there's much more you can do with Chapter 6 of my story.-
I know. Let's see what happens tomorrow.
-VD2: What about regular writing?-
Page on "From the Ashes Reborn," page and a half on that scene in "Tomorrow Came Again." I'm having fun with that.
-D: . . .-
-M: Isn't--
Shhhh *points at fourth wall audience.
-D: It's all right, I'm not sure I want to know anyway.-
I will say this, it's something good for you.
Anyway, meme time. From

Smudgy's picks for me were:
linkin park
steampunk
british comedy
linkin park -- this is the band. It's one of those bands people seem to associate with bad emo writers, like Evanescence, but I really do like their sound. "Numb" actually is sort of the themesong for "Tomorrow Came Again."
steampunk -- basically, what if the advances we have had somehow come about in the Industrial age or a bit earlier. You can completely blame "Girl Genius" for this -- reading that comic (which has all sorts of cool clockwork-based robots and the like) really turned me onto the genre. Finding traces of it in BTTF III (Time Train, anyone?) just made things worse.
british comedy -- Monty Python, "Keeping Up Appearances," "Father Ted" (though, technically, that last one's Irish) -- I think our pals across the pond have a great sense of humor. And much better swear words. Who doesn't love "bloody?"
And now, to do some editing on "Marty In Wonderland" to keep HatterDoc happy, and maybe "Boy Genius."
-TD: Don't make me get out the poking stick.-
-OD: *tentacle appears with this little Halloween doodle I did* You keep saying you'll finish this and at least put it in your scraps. . . .-
Hmm, yes. I'll do that as well. The coloring, at any rate, wait until tomorrow to upload.
-DW: *quietly* She's going to play Jetpack Doc again.-
-OD: *quietly* Well, at least it's BTTF themed.-
-D: Perhaps she means the rain later in the week?-
-RPD: *chuckling a little* Nope, she's referring to Eureka. You should see the faces she pulls at her Sims sometimes.-

Date: 2007-04-25 05:07 am (UTC)(Incidentally, I can't seem to throw a graduation party. I had both my graduated Sims try to use the telephone, but there wasn't a Throw Party option anymore for some reason. That sucks.)
