crossover_chickToday -- busy. Highlights include some lady who brought in clothes to be cleaned that had been a) rescued from a fire, so they smelled (understand she couldn't do much about that) and b) were supposed to be taken by a different cleaner, so they were WET (we're a DRYcleaners, lady); and the guy who brought in two rugs that had been puked on (ew. ew. ew.). Despite this, my energy level remained high enough to get in a page of Narbonic!Marty, which I am now tempted to name "A Note of Madness," thanks to ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
smudge_pot's latest entry about a book with that name. Nothing final, of course, but it works.
-TD: If nothing better presents itself, I say go for it. It's a little odd just calling it "Narbonic!Marty" all the time.-
I know -- makes the story sound like a person.
-HD: Do you suppose it's a compliment or an insult to refer to a story as a person?-
Depends on the story and the person. Calling a story a Mary-Sue/Marty-Stu is a grave insult indeed, ya know. I'd say Narbonic!Marty is a compliment, since it combines two of my favorite things -- Narbonic and BTTF.
-VD2: How about the rest of it?-
Got some good stuff done on "What Lies Within," and I'm editing "Ich Liebe Dich" for the "DVD release." Nothing too major, just adding actions and changing wording. I'm hoping to do something with "Marty In Wonderland" tonight.
-HD: At last!-
-DW: Don't get too excited -- in between the "Corpse Mask" bunnies have been some "American McGee's Marty" ideas.-
-WRM: Stop trying to stick me in Rutledge's!-
-TTV: And will you write down that silly plot bunny already? If it's going to bother you that much. . . .-
Maybe I'll write them both down.
-HD: Don't you dare!-
Come on, it'll mean the bunnies themselves will pop up less. And it'll help me focus on what I need to actually get done.
-VD: Just let her write it, HatterDoc. It's not a given she'll turn it into an actual story -- at least, not anytime soon.-
-HD: *pouts* But I don't want to be in charge of angst.-
-D: She's already thought up angsty TAS stories. It was a losing battle.-
-HD: *sulks over tea*-
-OD: *tentacles attempt to cheer up* It's not all that bad. Doesn't your Wonderland have some McGee in it already?-
-HD: The Jabberwock, yes, but I don't want to go full-tilt into it. No tea, no fun, big evil robot me trying to kill Marty. And I don't even get to dangle Queen Biffica off a ledge like you get to in "The Gift and the Curse."-
If you asked OckDoc nicely, I'm sure he would.
-HD: *immediately perks up* Really?-
-OD: You'd have to show me the layout first.-
-HD: Oh, that's not a problem! Come on! *drags OckDoc off, tentacles squealing*-
There, that's those two out of my hair. Now I can write down the bunnies in peace.
-RPD: Wait a moment, you have Sims to update on.-
I played Strickland. He's not exactly a barrel of laughs.
-RPD: *folds arms* Maybe not, but I'm your Sims muse, and I say update.-
Okay, okay. Not too much interesting happening with good old Steven S, though. He spent most of the day skilling -- primarily on his creativity, but he took a detour into mechanical as well.
Though he took breaks to eat and talk to friends. Joe Statler called and friended him in a long conversation that afternoon. Strickland followed it up with a call to a townie named Melissa that evening.
-M: Wha -- is he talking about kissing sumo wrestlers?-
-VuM: Who else would have him?-
Ha ha.
I rereolled his LTW until he got "Be Top in the Education Career" -- unfortunately, there were no education jobs to be had yet.
We also got the morning hail storm right on schedule. My game is weird.
We also got wolves, who were far more interesting than Strickland, despite being annoying sons of bitches. (Or, rather, daughters of bitches -- both had female names.) First, Ariel digs up a corner of the yard.
Then, Sassy arrives. Ariel disapproves, and lays the smackdown on her.
The wolves reflect on the fight afterwards, which I found highly amusing.
Ariel leaves, and Sassy menaces a passing jogger. It doesn't QUITE work.
We also have a random pic of butterflies in Strickland's trees.
Not much going on -- then again, I'm not in the mood for much going on at the moment.
-RPD: *pats back* Hey, any update is better than none.-
