-->Chapter 10 of Boy Genius is up. Since it's been a while, I'm just gonna post the Start Page link and let everyone catch up that way.
-->Here's my latest Drabbles88:

65. Lost
Every so often, he would have the nightmare. It was always the same:
He’d lost control – the damn thing just wasn’t responding –
Smashing into the ground, the shock knocking him unconscious –
Voices, lights, talking to him, asking if he was okay – English? Earth?
Another new face – not a bad one, but too soon after the last incident –
Roswell, New Mexico. 1947. Fairly primitive, but with the right tools. . . .
Except he couldn’t feel his TARDIS anymore.
Oh, God, he’d
known the damn thing was old, but this –! It was still working a bit, but dying fast. . . .
The physician had told his “hosts” about his two hearts – they weren’t being very friendly about asking if he was from another world. Humans could be so hostile sometimes. If only he could find a way to contact his fellow renegade. . . .
The escape had gone badly – he’d nearly lost control of the TARDIS again. At least the chameleon circuit had kept the shape of the balloon.
The machine’s power supply was almost totally depleted now. There was no going home. He was stuck here. And he had no idea how to find the others of his kind. . . .
He didn’t want to remember anymore. He didn’t want to be him anymore. He had the chameleon arch – he could change himself, adapt to life on this planet. And this town he’d come to – Hill Valley. It seemed nice enough. He’d set up his cover story and go on through.
Oh God the arch had been damaged too it hurt it hurt it HUUURRTT –

And just at that moment, he’d wake up screaming. The scene afterwards was always the same too:
“Emmett? Are you all right?”
“Yes, I – I just had a nightmare.”
“What about?”
“. . . I don’t remember.”

-DW: I KNEW that Dr. Who/BTTF bunny hadn't gone away!-
Yes, yes, I couldn't resist. After I read up on the "Doctor turns human" episodes (I was curious!), I got this idea. It's more in the spirit of that Uncyclopedia entry anyway. :p
-MHG: *grin* I see you couldn't resist a reference to Roswell either.-
Who could? The whole point of the story is that Doc's living the life the Doctor nearly had in the "turned human" episodes -- during the time he was human and hiding out from this family of evil aliens, he fell in love with someone. While he was struggling with the decision to turn back into the Doctor, he thought about the life he could have with his lady love -- kids, all of that. He eventually changed back for the good of humanity. Doc, not under that sort of pressure, never did.
-HD: *puzzled* Isn't he supposed to have a nice pocket watch with all his memories inside of it, though? I'd like one of those myself -- my brain feels very crowded at times.-
-TD: Yeah, it would be like a more convienent, portable Pensieve!-
*giggles* Yeah, well, I did mention the arch was damaged. And if he did get the watch, there's a chance he lost it in the fire that destroyed his mansion. At any rate, [livejournal.com profile] gigs_83 can tell me where I screwed up. Not like I haven't done that before in a Fandom-By-Proxy crossover (the Stargate/BTTF drabble I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] martyfan, which included an item the SGC wouldn't have.)

-->[livejournal.com profile] revison_doc update -- party at the Shaws. Sabastian wanted one, and they did have some friends they were getting low with. Sorry if it's a little choppy, I lost my groove for a while in the middle of it.
-RPD: You think reading good fanfiction would HELP your groove.-
Distraction factor coupled with lateness, I think. I'll try to do better today.

-M: Where's that countdown meme? Or are you still stuck?-
Nah, I finally filled in all but the last question -- I finish that up once I post it. I just want to fill in a few more of the questions in the WordPerfect file, since it's so bloody long.
-M: Ahhh.-
-VD: Wasting time with online Super Mario Bros, I see, though.-
I don't know WHY, the game's annoying the heck out of me. Mario slides way too fucking much. What I really want to do is get a version of Super Back To The Future II.
-RPD: Really? . . . I could get behind that.-
Yeah, I've found a place for it, but there's four versions offered, and I have no idea what the difference is. O.o Can anyone tell me what the different letter combos mean?
- Super Back To The Future Part II (J) [h1C].zip
- Super Back To The Future Part II (J) [h2C].zip
- Super Back To The Future Part II (J) [t1].zip
- Super Back To The Future Part II (J).zip
(Yeah, yeah, I know, but I don't own a SNES and the stupid real game was only released in Japan.)
-VD2: Well, you really should be writing instead.-
*nodnod* Gonna try to get some edits done, if nothing else.
-OD: Any fanart? At all?-
*looks at her sketchbook*
*grabs the stupid thing*
-OD: *tentacles yay!*
Can't promise I'll make anything postworthy.
-OD: It's a start!-
-D: At least no [livejournal.com profile] backtothefanfic story to juggle this month as well.-
True. Means I can focus all that energy on "A Note of Madness." It's surprising how fast that story's going.
-VDM: I'm not looking forward to the upcoming bit with Narbonic!Marty.-
-M2: I don't think any of us are.-
