How I Got My Copy of Deathly Hallows

crossover_chickWoke up at around 9 after going to bed at 1 -- was gonna try and sleep in a little more, then I figured I might as well get up since I wanted to get the book. (Plus I was desperately hungry.)
Shower, eat, all of that -- we're out the door around 10. Drive up to the little mall we have near here, since there's a Waldenbooks there. We walk up to it --
And a girl sitting at the front asks if we're here to get the latest Harry Potter.
Well, yeah. She then informs us that they're only giving out copies to people on the reserve list (so going up there last night would have been a waste of time anyway). She does kindly recommend the grocery store next door. We head on over, Dad grumbling about how stupid it is to just be doing reserves.
But sure enough, the grocery has the book -- and for less than I would have had to pay at Walden's! So all in all, a good outing.
As for the book -- I'll just say this, I'm still shaking a little. MAN. And half the fun was imagining the reactions of other Potter fans as they read it too. Oh man, the HMS STFU is going to EXPLOOOODE
Okay, I need to calm down, and I need to see if my save took in my SNES emulator for BTTF II. And I also really need to pee. (Yeah, like you all needed to know that.)
