01. The first character I first fell in love with
Neville Longbottom. I just thought he was adorable from the first time I met him. And his 10 point win for Gryffindor is still one of my favorite bits.

02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Minerva McGonagall. I thought she was just okay in the first books (strict teacher, don’t ya know), but MAN, did she turn out to be badass!

03. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Fleur Delacour. Granted, I’m sure not EVERYONE loves her, but I still think she’s pretty stuck-up. “Deathly Hallows” did soften me a bit towards her, but I pretty much agreed with Ginny in HBP. Cripes.

04. The character I love that everyone else hates
I’m not sure I have one. . . . Ron Weasley certainly gets a lot of guff from the crazy Harmoanians, and he’s one of my favorite characters. . . . And I’m of the school that says school-age!Peter Pettigrew was probably not too bad a person. *shrug*

05. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Aberforth Dumbledore. Probably as a result of not meeting him until the last book. I thought he’d be kind of goofy, but instead he turns out bitter. He’s certainly not a bad character, but he’s not what I expected. (Though the goat patronus wins.)

06. The character I would shag anytime
Neville. Naturally. I imagine he’d be all shy about it. :p

07. The character I'd want to be like
Frankly, I already think I’m a bit like Luna Lovegood – tad spacey, prone to coming up with weird ideas (though I don’t believe in them like she does.)

08. The character I'd slap
Draco Malfoy, the little slimeball git. Much as I hate Barty Crouch Jr., I do have to give him props for turning Draco into a ferret. (The other characters I despise would get MUCH worse than a slap.)

09. A pairing that I love
Neville/Luna. I just think they’d be cute together – the clumsy-yet-badass Herbeology expert and the head-in-the-clouds yet empathetic and sweet conspiracy theorist. I literally squeed when JKR admitted to feeling a pull between them in post-DH stuff.

10. A pairing that I despise
Anyone-except-Pansy/Draco. Especially Hermione/Draco – how the hell would that relationship even work?! I’m also not too fond of Harry/Hermione, but that’s mostly because of the militant wankers. Sane versions are okay.

01. The first character I first fell in love with
Doc Brown, of course! As I’ve mentioned before, I got into the fandom through the ride, so Doc and Biff were the first characters I was introduced to. It didn’t get to be a full-on crush until I saw the movies, though.

02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Gotta go with Clara Clayton. When I first watched the movies, I despised her due to full-on crush. This led to the creation of all my Non-Trilogy universes. I’ve really gotten to like her now, though. She does compliment Doc well, being a science wonk and all. (Maybe I worked out all my bitterness with “Abominable Doc.”)

03. The character everyone else loves that I don't
I don’t think I have one, frankly. Sheriff James Strickland? I thought he was okay, but he was definitely a hard-ass. (Certainly didn’t deserve to die in the cut scene, though.)

04. The character I love that everyone else hates
Frankly, I think I could put Buford here – he’s a sick son of a bitch, granted, but he’s also one of the funniest Tannens. (Come on, he sounds like he’s gonna CRY when he says, “Let’s go, boys! Let these sissies have their party!”)

05. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Again, I don’t think anyone applies here – my fondness for the characters has grown over time. Would it count if I said I don’t really like the characterization of Doc, Marty, Clara, and Jennifer from the Animated Series?

06. The character I would shag anytime
You have to ask? I’ll answer for the sake of thoroughness – Dr. Emmett Lathrop Brown.

07. The character I'd want to be like
Well, Doc, naturally. I love anything to do with Mad Science, and he’s one of the Maddest ones I know. In real life, though, I’m more like George – shy, a loner, likes to write strange stories – though I tend toward fantasy more than sci-fi.

08. The character I'd slap
Though I’m sure everyone expects a Tannen here, I’d like to do much worse to them (especially 1985-A Biff). The character I choose for slapping is Strickland. Come on, he’s an uptight prick. If anyone deserves it, it’s him.

09. A pairing that I love
Marty/Jennifer. Yeah, even though the female half of that pair is unconscious for most of the movie. I think I have a soft spot for high school sweethearts.

10. A pairing that I despise
Marty/George. *shudder* Incest is squicky. Frankly, I don’t like any of the slash pairings in BTTF.
