crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (feeling sparky/creative)

1. Use my "free 3-scoop sundae" coupon at the local Friendly's.
2. Update "V.D." with Chapter 8, "Marty In Wonderland" with Chapter 8, "The Gift and the Curse" with Chapter 1, and the [livejournal.com profile] backtothefanfic "summer" drabbles88.
3. Write at least a half-page a day on "A Note of Madness" and/or "Corpse Mask."
4. Play Super Back To The Future Part II all the way through in one day. Preemptive strikeout, since I don't think I'm gonna do this yet. I have a half-way through saved game, so we'll try for two days.
5. Play more Sims this week -- more like my old schedule.
6. Go to Borders and/or Barnes & Noble for some new books. (I feel like I've read EVERYTHING I own. Twice.)
7. Place orders for new Girl Genius and Narbonic. (I need Volume 6 of Girl Genius, and everything past Volume 1 for Narbonic.)
8. Do some more organizing with the purple notebook.
9. Do some sort of silly cartoon fanart -- I seem to actually get those DONE.
10. Rewatch BTTF Trilogy, Corpse Bride, and Alice In Wonderland.

Watched "Corpse Bride" yesterday, and the first BTTF today. Ahh, nothing like a good Backie infusion.
-DW: Indeed. Glad to see you got your fanfic up in time.-
Yeah, I was having some major trouble with the ending. Luckily Moose gave me a hand just now. Here's the latest in the Drabbles88:

27. Summer
“Marco!”
“Polo!”
“Marco!”
“Polo!”
“Marco?”
“Polo!”
“You’re out of the water, aren’t you?”
“That’s not a valid question.”
Marty fumbled around blindly, attempting to locate his wayward friend. “Come on, Doc, I know you snuck out.”
“I did no such thing.” Doc tiptoed around the edge of the pool, trying to get to the ladder so he could slip back in.
Marty found his way to the side. “Fish out of water!”
“Prove it!” Doc shot back, seeing his salvation. All he needed was –
“Hot dogs are ready!”
Well, that worked too. Doc grinned sheepishly as Marty opened his eyes. “I knew it!” the teen said, hauling himself out of the pool. “You’re It after supper.”
“When you’ll do the exact same thing to me, I suspect,” Doc said, grabbing his towel.
“Well, yeah. What are friends for?”
Robert Parker chuckled as he got the plates ready. “My cousins and I used to play that trick all the time,” he said, handing one to Doc. “It got to the point where we couldn’t yell ‘fish out of water,’ since almost everyone would be one!”
Doc laughed. “Well, I was planning to get back in.”
Jennifer grabbed her plate and the bag of chips. “What you should have done was sit on the edge and just dangle your legs in the water. That’s what I always do.”
“There’s a call-out for that too,” Lorraine informed her. “‘Mermaid on the rocks.’”
“Jesus, there’s no way to win in this game,” Marty said, getting his own hot dogs. “Well, unless you’re willing to risk drowning.”
“No problem for someone who can hold his breath for nearly a minute,” George boasted.
“Yeah, yeah, stinking brag about it. . . .”
Doc got his own share of chips from Jennifer. “This is truly a wonderful pool, Robert. I wish I had room for one at my own house.”
“Me too,” Marty said.
“Well, I think we still have your old kiddy wading pool,” George grinned.
“Hey, if it stays this hot, I’ll even take that.”
“You’re always welcome to come over here, guys,” Jennifer said.
“Within reason,” Robert quickly added. “I don’t mind you using our pool, just please call first.”
“I predict your phone bill is going to skyrocket this July then, Robert,” George said.
“I have no doubt.”
They finished up the hot dogs, then Doc and Marty hopped back in the pool. “So,” Doc started, turning to his friend, “how long--”
The rest of the sentence turned into a yelp as Marty abruptly tackled him. “Just trying to keep you on your toes, Doc,” he grinned as the scientist spat water.
“Really now. Then it would be remiss of me not to return the favor!” Doc lunged at the teen, and they began wrestling playfully.
Lorraine chuckled and rolled her eyes as Jennifer joined in the chaos. “Times like this, I think us three are the only adults around.”
A spray of water hit her from George’s direction. “. . . Us two.”

Inspired by the fact that Sims can play this game now, oddly enough. Reading about Timle Tourneau brought back fond memories of playing Marco Polo, and the story went from there.
-J: Ahhh, the joys of a pool.-
-M: When's this supposed to be set?-
Summer 1984 -- I considered doing a trilogy piece with Doc's kids briefly, but this idea got here first.
-D: Nothing wrong with that. Poor Lorraine, she must think she's got two extra kids at times like this.-
-M2: Hey, she can give as good as she gets, you know. You should see her with water balloons.-
Anyway, not much else to say. It's basically just a small "slice of life" piece.
-VuM: Considering what you've done to us in other drabbles88s, we should probably be on our knees thanking you.-
Ha ha ha.

-VD: So, I suppose OckDoc and I are next.-
Yup -- remind me to try drawing something this weekend too.
-OD: *tentacles pokepoke* We'd be happy if you just put up that little minicartoon you did of HatterDoc and you.-
-HD: *glower* My embarrassment is funny to you, then?-
-OD: Why yes, yes it is.-
Before that, though, I have a [livejournal.com profile] revison_doc update of awesomeness to do.
-M: O.o?-
-RPD: She got that version of Sim!You into Permaplat.-
-M: Oh, cool!-
AND maxed out your logic, AND added another roof raiser to your resume. You're on a roll.
-VM: Great! Go update then!-
On my way!
