Adventure Saturday
Sep. 29th, 2007 11:24 pmThough this one didn't turn out as happy as my previous adventure Saturday.
-RPD: I still can't believe none of the places you visited had the guide!-
Me either! Here's what went down -- my Mom asked if there was anyplace I'd like to go today (I'd just walked around on a fruitless mission to cash my paycheck -- I'd forgotten the branch of the local bank I can get to is closed on Saturdays), and I decided to try and get the Prima Guide for the Sims 2 Bon Voyage. We visit two Wal-Marts and a GameStop -- no guide. At all. The GameStop guy even tried to deny its existence -- which didn't fly, since we'd seen it online. After a bit more fruitless searching for another place that might carry it, we just went home and ordered it online.
-M: Why do you need the guide? You seem to get along okay without it.-
I know, but I like reading them, frankly. And they are a good source of tips. My Open For Business one helped a lot.
-D: I hope the trip wasn't a total loss.-
Oh no -- I finally found a new nightgown, and some new slippers. *waggles feet* They're like little booties -- much better than those crappy blue things. The plastic is already starting to fall apart on those.
-TD: *grumble* Inferior workmanship. *pulls on sleeve* Victorian clothes are made to last.-
That they are, I'm sure. And they look yummy too. *fangirls*
-TD: *backs away slowly* I'm not afraid to build something embarrassing to test on you.-
I know, but I'm willing to take that risk.
-VD2: How's your fanfiction going?-
Moose was kind enough to look up the horse discrepancy for "Shot Through The Heart" for me -- Marty did send away his original horse, and she's pretty sure he at least got a horse from Buford's gang. So I've changed the story to reflect that. Barring any major crises, I should have the DVD cut up tomorrow.
-VD2: Oh, good!-
-VD: Then back to me, I assume.-
All things considered, yes.
-OD: And don't forget, you have that cartoon for Ael.-
Oooh, yes. Must doodle that on up.
-DW: If you can ever stop thinking about your little fic-that-SOMEONE-ELSE-is-writing.-
*glares* I like the stupid fandom.
-DW: Still, can't you be happy with what
geno0823 is writing?-
I am! Minimate!Doc works for me! And he said there'd be some mention of a Clockworky!Doc later.
-TD: What happened?-
-DW: I'm pretty sure she's come up with a whole separate continuity for the "Midsummer Lost" story Geno's writing, based on that first chapter.-
*turns pink* Sorry Geno, my brain just runs away with these things. Majorly. And I don't have a complete continuity yet -- I can't think of a real ending yet.
-TTV: *pouts* What about "Corpse Mask?"-
-DW: Did I mention you're in said continuity, Victor?-
-TTV: WHAT?!-
You look like a Darkling! I had to!
-OD: *tentacles cheep, confused* Yes, she IS doing fanfic of fanfic now. No, I don't really understand it myself.-
Actually, you're not the only one. Though, speaking of the Changeling thing, I think I might go write something on it.
-HD: Oh, must you?-
I thought you like Geno now, since he likes tea.
-HD: He's all right -- just why must you write so much angst?-
To be fair, I'm indulging a lot in the funny lately. Got plans to watch MST3K tomorrow. "The Final Sacrifice."
-HD: *perks up a little* Ahhh. Perhaps your brain is finally rebelling against the darkness.-
*shrug* Whatever keeps you happy. Maybe I can think up a funny drabbles88 too.
Right now, though, I think I'm going to make another quick edit to the BTTF TV Tropes wiki. <.< >.>

Date: 2007-10-01 12:07 am (UTC)*attempts to type it out in a comment* *realizes she's going Overly Plotted Bunnies with it* I'll make another post with the basics (if I can keep it to that). It involves the outline I suggested to you, only with my Clockwork!Doc and Andrew, which manages to skew things pretty heavily. (And the addition of Victor once they're back in Hill Valley as a friendly.)
