"You Look Like You've Seen a Ghost!"

Kaboomity! Doc and Marty blast their way into the mine and start looking for the DeLorean. Doc expouses on his love of Jules Verne, which will become a plot point in his romance with Clara. They find the DeLorean via Doc's initials and read the older Doc's repair instructions. Doc can't believe the chip was made in Japan, leading to one of those 55-vs-85 jokes. (Of course, Japan kinda owns all our asses now. :p) The DeLorean is towed out, and Doc decides he's quite content with spending his retirement years living it up in the Old West.
Naturally, this leads to them finding out the older Doc has died not a week after he wrote to Marty. Neither Doc nor Marty is happy with this turn of events. "What kind of a future do you call that?"
Library raid time! The boys find out Buford Tannen was basically a more violent version of Biff, and that Marty McFly is apparently the archetype for almost every McFly in history. (Really, is George the only one who didn't look like Marty?) They finally find a picture of Doc by the clock, which somehow confirms that Doc was back there to get shot. (Um, you think finding his gravestone would basically confirm that.) Marty vows to go back and take Doc home. Audience asks, "Like you wouldn't have done that anyway, even if he wasn't being shot. Again."

-OD: *tentacles buzz* The snark really necessary?-
Sorry, was watching some favorite "Fun With Shots" earlier. I really wish Josh Way would come back, he hasn't posted anything in 5 months. I like the old stuff plenty ("Habit Patterns" is a real favorite) but you gotta have fresh stuff.
-VD: Shouldn't you be writing on "When Worlds Collide," though? You have a halfway point to reach.-
I couldn't. I'm in the middle of a serious/somewhat squicky scene, and I'm in a humor mood. The problem is, I was thinking about people sneaking into Jack's train -- specifically, J.C. Jones from the humorverse. And I came up with this scenario for having the train crash in Wonderland:
Jack: We've got our own train, their precious Martins, and quite a few weapons. What could possibly happen to us?
J.C.: DEATH FROM ABOVE!
I cracked up laughing and, I swear, I couldn't stop for almost five minutes. My stomach still feels a little weird.
-HD: *curious* Is that going to actually happen?-
Maybe. Not sure yet. We'll see once I get there. Would be fun, though.
-D: I fully endorse your hyperactive alter ego giving Jack hell.-
-M: Wedgies, Vic. Can't go wrong with wedgies.-
*gigglefit again*
-VD2: What scene are you currently on?-
Jack's about to kiss Amina for her describing how she's going to kill Doc most painfully.
-M2: Ugh.-
-VD2: *shudder* Yes, I know. Though I suppose this means you got over your Clockstopper problem?-
Yeah, I managed to fix up something. Turns out the time period for the X-Duology verse is shortly after I set the first "BTTX." So Marty's a new mutant and thus not quite used to his powers yet. I also realized that stopping time can't do much if you tie him up well enough -- i.e., so he can't undo the knots.
-OD: *tentacles squeak* That would work. But you have to get him into that situation first.-
Exactly why I made Amina into a mutant. She's a Medusa-type -- she can animate her own hair. One mistimed explanation from Jack, and poor Clockstopper's down for the count.
-VM: Looks like I'm gonna be more of a problem.-
Yeah, hmm. I'm thinking Biff's starting to make his move with the soulless, so VampDoc2's fighting them while you're in trouble. I figure that at least one guy in this group should have a gun too, so I'll give Biff that.
-VM: *wince* Ouch.-
*patpat* Sorry. Remember, they're in for a world of hurt once they hit Wonderland. And you should land a couple of good punches before being taken in.
-TD: You're really having fun with this, aren't you?-
I am indeed. :) Though I'm eager to get to the Wonderland bit and start piling on the crazy.
-MF: We're not -- you're producing a hell of a lot of plotbunnies.-
-DW: We should be set for the winter on this fic.-

-VD2: Too bad you're not getting anything done on other fanfic.-

-VD2: Yes, but you did say you wanted to get "What Lies Within" up.-
Ooh, yeah, I'd forgotten. Maybe I'll work on that this weekend.
-RPD: *pokes* In the meantime, since Sims seems a distant memory, will you at least stat up the characters for "Midsummer Found?"-
Okay, okay. I just happen to be better at that when I have an actual physical character sheet.
-RPD: You'll do fine. Besides, you'll probably need Andrew's for his appearance in "When Worlds Collide."-
True. As for Sims -- ugh. I do want to play, especially when I see my friendslists for the Sims journals, but NaNo's taking up a lot of my time, and, frankly, I'm getting a little SCARED to fiddle around with my computer. Ever since that backup debacle. . . .
-RPD: *small wince* Oh, yes. That would be a problem.-
-TD: Are you going to try again with that eventually?-
Yeah, though I may split it up into a "stories" disc and a "sims" disc. Might help. Maybe I'll just have the stupid computer taken in too -- I'm really not sure what to do.
-D: *pats shoulder* It'll all be all right.-
I hope so.
Okay, time to nail out a bit more wordcount on the NaNo, if I can. Must not think of funny!

Crossovers are fun, aren't they? I had a lot of fun writing Infusion. That's also why I'm doing those 2 multiple-Doctor stories cuz it's kinda like a crossover just within the same universe. :p

I need another crossover-inspiring dream so I can write another. LOL
