After finishing a NaNo, I think I deserve a bit of time off. I'll try and get back into the swing of things tomorrow.
-M: No writing at all?-
No serious writing. I'm thinking of doing more on the "character sheets" for the Changeling stuff, though.
Right now, though, we have a meme stolen from darkjediprinces:
Name a character from one of my fandoms and I'll give you (a) three facts about them from my personal canon/fanon, (b) a reason he/she sucks, (c) a reason he/she is awesomecakes, (d) five things that never happened to that character or (e) five people that character never fell in love with and why. You pick the character. I pick the letter.

Granted, I may give you more than one letter. Depends on how verbose I'm feeling. My main fandoms are BTTF, Alice In Wonderland, Girl Genius, and Corpse Bride.

Speaking of Girl Genius and awesomecakes, my Gil fangirl bit of the day:
BADASS. Total fucking BADASS.
I feel the urge to go find those poster-makers and see what I can do with some recent images. :D

c) There's just something about a sci-fi geek, ya know? :D I see him losing his love for Science Fiction Theatre, even when he becomes "cool."

d)1. Never met Lorraine at all, went on to move out of Hill Valley and to Vermont during an office relocation, married a woman named Cassie and had no children
2. Arrived on the scene too early on November 12th, ruined Lorraine's impression of him, resisted Marty's attempts to force them to get together, then horrified when Marty faded from existence right in front of him. Ended up joining a far-out sci-fi group and never marrying at all.
3. George is hit by the car -- REALLY hit by it. The Baines rush him to the hospital, but he ends up dying a little while later from massive internal injuries.
4. George and Lorraine meet and marry as normal. However, Lorraine's pregnancy with their first child is so difficult, that they make a decision not to have any more kids, and raise their son Dave alone. They eventually move from Hill Valley to Sacramento as George gets a job as an English teacher.
5. George attempts to win over Lorraine at the cafe. He fails, but succeeds in getting the attention of Babs. She asks him to the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance, and the two start dating. They eventually marry and have two children. George also starts sending in stories at Babs's insistence, and becomes a semi-famous author.
(Of course, due to alternate timelines, there's no assurance these NEVER happened :p)

What kind of far-out sci-fi group prevents their members from marrying? Or does this just render him too geeky to attract anything that's female and doesn't wear pointed ears to the supermarket? How far-our are we talking, anyway? I'm so intrigued.

LoL, don't worry, he didn't join a cult (though now I wish I'd thought of that as an option :p). It was more of Lone Gunmen/Fox Mulder UFO group -- travels around investigating alien incidents. As for the no marrying thing, he just didn't bother looking after that incident with Lorraine and Marty. He got too freaked out, and sci-fi became his only love. Not that he doesn't think about Lorraine from time to time.
