No Kill Me! No Kill Me!
Jan. 21st, 2008 10:52 pmI bring fic! Chapter 5 of "The Gift and the Curse"
-OD: Damn you, you got it done.-
:p
-TD: I'm next, I'm next!-
Indeed, indeed. Hopefully I can get that one out sooner rather than later.
-TD: We all know that's a bloody lie, but we'll humor you.-
-.-
Today was boredom. Boredom shoved up your ass with a spoon. The main problem was, I took the last of some turkey soup as lunch, so I was too afraid to smuggle in a book or a notebook for fear of the container popping open. I guess I wasn't expecting work to be so fricking QUIET. Between the fact that it's technically a holiday today and that the temperature outside probably never got above the mid20s, I guess people weren't willing to head out for cleaning. Thank God some companies leave their magazines at our place. Still, would have preferred to keep going with Discworld.
-DW: You know, you can read at home too.-
Yeah, I know. Damn Psychonauts, obsessing me with something new right after I get new books.
-RPD: It does smack of Murphy's Law, in a way.-
-HD: Still mooning over Freddie?-
-MHG: Strait-Jacket chic is so in, dah-ling.-
-VD2: Those things can be DAMN uncomfortable, you know. *evil-eyes me*-
I wasn't INTO it in any way, shape, or form when I wrote "World of Darkness!" Frankly, it weirds me out that I like it!
-VD2: Still, it's rather unnerving to think your creator LIKES you committed.-
No, not exactly. What I like is you being bound up, then breaking free and KICKING EXTREME ASS.
-VD2: . . . Okay, that's more acceptable.-
-D: Still, strait-jackets?-
Hey, you're the ones who lead toward madboy tendencies.
-TD: Gil would probably kill you if you tried to stick him in one.-
I wouldn't have to BUCKLE it, I like it either way.
-VD: This is what we put up with every day, people.-
You know you love it because I let you throw me out windows on occasion.
-OD: *tentacles buzz* There is something to be said about an author who is willing to suffer for her art, so to speak.-
-DW: Back on topic, got an idea for your Psychonauts/BTTF crossover drabble88 so we can get it out of your system a bit?-
Actually, yeah, I think I do. Nothing major, but it's a shortfic, so it all works out.
-MF: I kinda like the change. Portal, Psychonauts -- it's neat to get some fresh food. *stalks bunnies* Though, I KINDA preferred the way these looked before.-
What do you -- *notices bunnies have morphed into Little Oly's fat pet monstrosity* Oh jeez. *changes them back to more regular rabbits*
-D: The character designs ARE a little disturbing.-
Yeah, I'm still terrified of that sucidial CGI muppet. Freakish, I say, freakish.
-M2: Hey, if you didn't smuggle in your notebook, did you get any regular writing done today?-
Yeah, I wrote in the morning.
*silence*
Wild, huh? I haven't done that in ages.
-TTV: So how is "Cinder-Marty" coming?-
Actually, I wrote on "Corpse Mask." Inspiration and whatnot.
-TTV: O.O! *grin* Have I kidnapped Kelloway yet?-
Yup. Now Barkis charges in on the party, and we get to the great climax. I'm having fun with this story. Love BTTF, of course, but it feels good to stretch into another fandom for a bit.
-RPD: Yes, we appreciate it when you go torment other people.-
-VD: Though when's the last time you watched our movies, anyway?-
Eeep, a while. Might have to make some time later. YouTube could be good for that. I think I'll go there.
-D: You're not fooling us. You're going off to watch "Waterloo World" again.-
Better him than you in the strait-jacket, right?
-D: . . . Point.-
-OD: Damn you, you got it done.-
