No good can come from this.
-D: Tell us about it. Not to mention you came home late and in a bad mood.-
-VD2: I assume that a certain coworker couldn't show up on time again.-
Bingo. And on top of that, my check didn't clear at the bank. My boss went to the bank at lunch, but I guess the funds didn't go through yet or something. *grumble* I'm honestly so sick of that job. I'm never late, I do my job reasonably well, try to keep everyone happy, I'm the only person left of the original staff he hired when I first started working. . . . And I get to put up with everyone else's bullshit. My coworkers are late, my check can't be cashed because my boss can't be damned to keep sufficient funds in his account, and I'm the only nonsmoker there, so I get to deal with second-hand smoke and my coworkers taking smoke breaks whenever they feel like it. And the worst part?
I suspect I'm the LEAST-paid one there. And I know for a fact I put in the MOST hours at that store.
-VD: *reads that* Victoria? Quit.-
Need another job first, but yeah, I think it's high time I moved on. The store does have its perks -- being able to write/read at work is nice -- but coming home seething isn't really worth it.
-OD: Yes, none of us like seeing you mad. Rage isn't good for you.-
Yeah, I know. TGIF and all that.
Superbowl weekend, here. Mom's cooking up all sorts of good stuff. We already have caramel corn on hand. I figure our little sleepover party can start tomorrow afternoon and extend to Sunday night so we can all partake.
-MF: Sounds good to me. We narrow down all the invitees yet?-
Eh, sort of. I know the house is big, but we can't invite too many guests or we won't be able to keep them all entertained. I've got some couples I know we need to invite -- Gil and Agatha and Alice and Richard (Mad Hatter). I know the former includes Zeetha, Krosp, and possibly Zoing, and the latter will probably bring Cheshire. . . .
-TD: The Narbonic crew will be coming too, right?-
Oh yeah, Helen couldn't pass up another opportunity to use her lab pajamas. And I'm pretty sure the Narbonic Doc and Marty will show up too.
-RPD: And Changeling?-
Yeah. Dunno about Trilogy, though. *waves hand* We'll see. Also Victoria and Emily -- might bring along Bonejangles.
-TTV: If we plan to have any musical entertainment here, we really should invite him.-
Hmm, yes. I think those four fandoms should cover the guests nicely, they're my mains after all.
-DW: What, no one from Psychonauts?-
I don't know anyone from Psychonauts.
-DW: Then why did I see Fred and Sasha in the Inkwell today, looking somewhat confused?-
. . . .
*runs to the Inkwell* FREDDIE!
-DW: *facepalm* Had to open my big fat muzzle.-
-HD: Well, at least she doesn't look so depressed. I just hope Richard doesn't try to co-opt my tea table.-
-TD: *amused* Actually, I'd like to see how a fight between you two would go.-
-WRM: You like cleaning tea off walls?-
-TD: I'll invent a new kind of wet-vac. I'm bored too.-
