Weird Morning

Today I experienced a new incident -- coming into work in the morning, only to find the place closed up. Turns out my boss had the store van break down, so he couldn't come in and open. The presser came and opened the place a few minutes later. This would happen on a day where the high temperature was 32 F, otherwise known as freezing. Thank God Dad was willing to take me to work, so I wasn't stuck there waiting in the cold or anything.
-M: Yeah, really! Ouch.-
Other than that, fairly normal if quiet day. Managed to get two pages on "Cinder-Marty" done, yay.
-D: Good work.-
Yeah, now if only the typing bug would come back. *resolves to at least blather on about Fred in Overly Plotted Bunnies* Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow.
-VD2: Yes, tomorrow we don't have to work around your show anymore.-
Ahh, yeah, finally finished, "The Darling Buds of May." Good show, but long episodes. And it has to go back tomorrow, so we've been marathoning lately. Ah well, all over now.
-J: *teasingly* Think Charley was cute? We know you have a thing for glasses.-
A little, though only WITH the glasses. He looked kinda off without them. I also persist in calling him Cedric.
-M2: *confused* Why? I thought his name was Charley?-
*shakehead* His name's Cedric. The main characters of the show christened him "Charley" because they couldn't get used to Cedric.
-VD: I thought it was a little mean for someone to be named Charles Charlton.-
Yeah. I kinda wish we'd seen a bit more of his boss in the Inland Revenue. The guy went to visit Cedric's aunt, Cedric ran for it, then we never saw him again. I know he wasn't important in the long run, but the way they did it, it felt like an unfinished plot thread. Hmm. It's based on a book series, so maybe it's elaborated on in there.
Anyway, I have stuff to look after, so off I go.
