Continuing In This Vein

crossover_chickSome info on the Leap Year if anyone's interested. I'd link the Wikipedia article, but that's a whole mess of complicated. As for the Leap Day fic, I've got an idea and have written up a first draft. Now I just gotta keep it to 500 words.
-DW: Easier said than done.-
You ain't kidding. Though this should be easier than "Temporalnauts."
Today was another "interesting" day at work. No boiler (unsafe, don'tcha know) so we had to send all our clothes to the shirt company. Result? The first four hours or so of my shift were very quiet, then the last three were really busy when the clothes came back. Not to mention we had two crazy customers -- one who had to have everything on separate slips for separate closets, another who'd just come back from a vacation and had about FORTY-SIX pieces of clothing. At least my boss gave me a hand with getting everything settled.
-VD2: *little worried* Did you get any writing done?-
Yeah, I got 2 1/2 pages on "Cinder-Marty" in the slow period. Also started "The Light Fantastic," which is proving to be just as great as "The Color of Magic." :D
-OD: *tentacles screek* Hey, what about "There's Always Tomorrow?"-
I refer you to the title of the story. I'm gonna bring in the notebook copy of "The Gift and the Curse" with that to help jumpstart it and make sure I'm in the right place.
-OD: Oh, all right.-
*nodnod* Helps to plan ahead a bit.
-HD: The chess royalty would lynch you for such blasphemy.-
Well, most of the chess royalty are dunderheads -- I quite enjoyed beating the Red King before.
-RPD: Where are you in that game now?-
Lost in Mirror Image -- methinks I took a wrong turn somewhere. Lucky I have that playlist on YouTube to help guide my way. I think I'm about halfway through now. I'm quite enjoying it.
-VD: Heh, it's still a little odd to see you playing anything other than Sims.-
-M: Hey, didn't the new expansion pack for that come out today?-
Technically, yeah.
-D: Planning on picking it up despite your computer woes?-
Maybe. If the weather will cooperate with me for one weekend so I can take this computer to Best Buy at last and have them look at it. This thing has a marked tendency to really piss me off.
-TD: *threatens it with an oversized wrench* Behave yourself! She still needs to finish my story!-
-VDM: How's that coming?-
Making little edits here and there. Polishing, I suppose.
-VD: You've got to put it up sometime, you have other stories to get done.-
I know, I know. I'm a horribly slow writer. *pokes self*
-DW: Well, at least there's the leap year minific to look forward to.-
Yeah. Right now, though, I want to finish up some reading on Etiquette Hell before bed. Later all!
