A "Meh" Day

Work was busy with clothes -- everybody wanted their crap for Friday, it seemed. Good thing I got all my notebook writing done, I would have never had a chance to do any of it today. Then, after work, I basically just lazed around for a while. Just got another chunk on "From the Ashes Reborn" done, and I'm fiddling around with another Drabbles88 bunny, but that's about it.
-DW: Why do I think this is the result of insomnia?-
Yeah, definitely gonna be sleeping in a bit tomorrow. Also watching "The Dream Team." Also, hopefully, getting free ice cream from Friendly's. Keep your fingers crossed my local store's participating in that.
-VD: It's not true you did nothing. You were on the Sims for a good while.-
Ahh, yeah, Simmies! I finished up the Sim version of the Inkwell bar -- take a look-see:
Outside. It's a fairly dull-looking place, pretty typical of a bar.
Inside. This isn't exact -- I suspect the bar is actually slightly trans-dimensional -- but it gives a good idea of what goes where. Pool table, poker table, grand piano, dartboards -- it's all there.
Close-ups. I loved decorating the kitchen. Yay pots and pans!
-HD: *holds up trusty frying pan with a grin*-
-TTV: Wouldn't it make more sense for you to weild a croquet mallet?-
-HD: Do you want to wrestle with a live flamingo every time you get mad?-
-TTV: Actual WOODEN ones exist, you know.-
-HD: Those are for wimps.-
Heh, anyway, that's the Inkwell, for anyone who cares to know. *eyes gigs_83*
I also did some actual playing, though I'm saving what few pictures I took for a eurekasims update. Emma had the day off work, spent it studying and chatting for the most part. She's befriended Allison, which is nice. She also had her fiance Holden move in with her, just so I can be assured he'll be available for the wedding. He turned out to be a good choice money-wise -- he brought a nice $18,000 with him!
-RPD: *whistles* Very nice!-
Plus he had an inventory full of stuff, like a pinball machine and a hot tub. I sold most of it for extra cash, but I kept the fancy telescope and radio he had. Those'll come in handy.
-RPD: Sounds like a good session. When's the actual wedding?-
Soon as I can manage it. Emma's all primed for another promotion and Holden has a night job as a Professional Party guest, so it shouldn't be too long. And they get a cooler of Elixir, so I can afford to delay a bit.
-D: What about your other families?-
I'll probably play a bit more over the weekend. Definitely Twin Oaks Park Marty on Monday. :D
-M2: Yeah, yeah, I'm getting old, I know.-
-VuM: Why couldn't they have the free ice cream on our birthday?-
I dunno, but I'm trying out the birthday cake Friend-Z in honor of it.
-VD2: . . . There's a birthday cake Friend-Z?-
New flavor.
-OD: Well, for your sake, I hope it's good.-
Yeah, me too.
Anyway. Suppose I'll go knock around the web a bit more. Laterz.
