Okay, Boys, Settle Down
Jul. 9th, 2008 11:41 pmIt's not the REAL Nikola Tesla in the Rift, after all.
-TD: I know. It's an even BETTER version.-
*giggle* You lot are so mad-sciency.
Yes, things are happening in the Rift -- Doc's met John Smith (aka The Doctor's human disguise) and Tesla through the journals, and there's more threading with JD.
-RPD: No Aubrey, though?-
Eh, xes mun is feeling a little burned out. It happens. *eyes own lack of story-doing*
-OD: At least you're being productive with what you ARE doing. One and a half more pages on "There's Always Tomorrow." *tentacles nodnod happily*-
-TTV: And another page on "Corpse Mask." Though I'm still waiting for the good stuff.-
It's coming, just be patient. And yes, a little productivity is better than none at all.
Work today wasn't quite so hot, thank God. Dunno how tomorrow will be. *worries* At least I only need another half-page or so on "There's Always Tomorrow." Time for more Discworld, which I have been sadly neglecting.
-HD: Yes, more humor!-
Well, I am reading a humor book now.
-HD: That does not preclude more humor.-
LOL.
I also hit Friendly's for a cone of their new summer flavor, Chocolate Brownie Cookie Crunch. DE-LIC-IOUS. Chocolate overloady -- it's wonderful. *glee*
-D: Just hope the sugar doesn't keep you up all night.-
Nah. Only the Rift does that. I has plans for Doc, you know. Thinking an under-the-table job at that junkyard Aubrey mentioned. Owner pays him $20 a week to watch the place while he has lunch, and Doc's allowed to pick out parts. It'll at least get him some spending cash. And of course, the puppy hasn't left my thoughts. I'm still thinking at least blink dog-looking. I have an urge to write a story and show it to the mods as proof I've planned this out a bit.
-VD: *snort* So go for it.-
I suppose I should. Bit late at the moment, though. Maybe I'll just update Doc's organization threads. And see about memorying some of the journal entries he's commented on. *goes to be organizational*

Date: 2008-07-10 04:28 am (UTC)As for the whole pet thing, I am now working (somewhat) on getting him... an uncle! *dramatic music* Or at least getting said uncle on the Wanted Characters page, at any rate.
Just out of curiosity, do you ever find yourself looking at something you've written where something bad happens and suddenly go "Whoa, did I just do that to (insert character here)?!"

Date: 2008-07-10 02:44 pm (UTC)Cool! Good luck with that. I still cling to the hope someone will want to app Marty. Yeah, Doc's been making all sorts of good friends in the Rift, but still. . . .
Sometimes. Mostly with the straight Changeling version of Doc. I feel guilty for subjecting him to Andrew. :( And of course part of me wants him to meet Suzie Costello, and part of me wants him to stay as far away from her as possible. No way he wouldn't end up kinda broken after THAT.
