crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (feeling sparky/creative)

*blasts fan for a while*
-HD: *uses it to cool down his tea*-
-VD: Why are you even drinking hot tea in summer?-
-HD: I've temporarily run out of the iced stuff.-
-D: I'm surprised you ever let yourself run out of tea.-
-HD: What? No! Hot tea, never! Iced tea is a seasonal drink and thus does not count as much.-
Heh. Anyway, pretty typical day today. Work was okay, if warmer than I expected. Got myself a milkshake upon leaving. Spent the afternoon doing some Rifting and downloading a few things like blueprint tiles for planning houses and more antiquey stuff. I have plans for a grand and glorious castle, so the blueprints were a must.
-TD: Still on the "Arcanum" minihood kick, hmm?-
-DW: Pretty much so.-
It's evolved into a bit of a challenge thingy. Like to see if I could make a self-sufficent society.
-TD: From Sims? Never.-
LOL, it could work! With OfB, you can make all sorts of retail stores. If you made ones for furniture and clothing and decorations and basically everything from the Buy catalogue, and had your Sims buy everything from THERE. . . . And Seasons allows you to grow and fish your own food on top of that.
-TD: *thoughtful* Hmmm. Maybe.-
Yeah. Be kinda difficult, but could be fun.
-MF: If you stuck with it. Eureka's challenge aspect has kinda petered out, hasn't it?-
*blush* I admit it. I get more involved with the families than the challenge. That reminds me, I gotta play Emma and get her closer to her wedding. Got a wedding veil now she could use. And lots of new clothes.
-RPD: You have lots of new everything. Where HAS this urge to download come from?-
Steampunk obsession. Or Neo-Victorian, or whatever you want to call it. I just like the styles and such. And I kinda wish someone would do proper steampunky recolors of the OfB robots. I'd love to see a coppery Servo.
-TD: *grin* That would be great.-
-DW: Oh, hell, just make the neighborhood already. You'll feel happier once you do.-
Well, let's wait until tomorrow. I'm planning on hitting FYE for a memory stick or something, so I can make proper backups again.
-MF: Right. That would be good.-
-OD: Though, speaking of which, I was promised an update soon?-
Probably gonna be tomorrow. Then it's back over to "V.D.," with "Boy Genius" mixed in. Gotta finish the latter SOMETIME this century.
-TD: Please. I'm getting bored. And that's never good.-
Working, I'm working. . . .
-DW: Yes, but it's on "Corpse Mask."-
-TTV: I think that's a good thing.-
It is. They just found out about the mask and the Loki connection. We're heading toward climax, people.
-TTV: *grin* I see. We should really watch the movie again sometime.-
I knew you were going to say that.
-TTV: It has been a while.-
We'll see. Depends on how busy the weekend gets, between writing and Simming and Rifting.
-VD2: How's the latter coming?-
It's a little slow, got only one thread. But it's a nice one. Doc and Farley trading histories. Little of an angstfest, but nothing like the recent splody.
-RPD: Which is a relief. She's also still strongly considering the Multiverse idea.-
Come on, tell me it wouldn't be fun.
-Rift!Doc: *poking head in* Is that my official job description? To wander through universes whenever you think it would be fun?-
To be fair, the Nexus is a lot less angsty than the Rift. Think of it as a break dimension. And get in here, I need to talk to you.
-Rift!Doc: *comes in in full* Still, how would I explain my abscence in the Rift? Or do you intend for the games to be separate?-
Eh, sort of. When you pop into the Nexus, no time passes in the Rift, but you still remember what happens in both dimensions. *blush* Yeah, this is me -- I plan out things I haven't done yet.
-D: *amused* We know that all too well, Victoria.-
Anyway, it would be a temporary thing. No carryover from either, and any Nexus-stuff in your journal would be tagged separate and kept out of the main game. I'm pretty sure it would be okay. The Rift FAQ does say you can use journals from other RPs as long as the entries are labeled right.
-Rift!Doc: *shrug* You're the mun. What did you need to talk to me about?-
Your place here. You see, you've become a pretty strong headvoice or what have you. I don't mind that, I like you. Problem is, I have no place to fit you in as a muse. *points to RPD* You'd have to take over his function, and he gets seniority being the first Doc I ever played.
-RPD: And killed.-
Accident! Anyway, I figured you really need something to keep you connected to the musespace without ursurping someone's job.
-Rift!Doc: Okay. . . .-
So, to whit-- *flourishes a piece of paper, then hands it over* Here. All yours.
-VD2: *puzzled* What is that?-
Property deed.
-OD: *tentacles squeak, baffled* Property deed?! You don't own any property!-
Oh?
-RPM: Sims land does not count.-
I'm not talking about Sims.
-VD2: But if it's not for Sims --
-Rift!Doc: *softly* It's for the Inkwell.-
*silence*
-D: . . . What?-
-Rift!Doc: It's for the Inkwell. *stares at me* You're giving me the Inkwell??-
Yup! You're now the official owner! :D
-Rift!Doc: *looking slightly panicky* But -- I have no knowledge on running a restaurant! According to you, I didn't even get to the mobile repair services van!-
*patpats* It's easy, really. Place practically runs itself. It's basically just so you'll have a place to live. I'm adding a little apartment in a backroom for you. And this way we'll see you all the time!
-Rift!Doc: I -- suppose. Thank you.-
*hugs* You'll be fine. Think of it this way -- free food, good friends, and you'll get to see lots of Martys.
-Rift!Doc: *small smile* True. Though I still miss my own.-
Working on it, honey, working on it.
-RPM: *hugs* He'll show up. You know us -- we don't leave each other behind.-
Awwwww. . . .
Okay, I'm really thirsty. Drink time.

AL> Gary runs a bar. I'll send him over to give you some pointers. And, face it, if anything mechanical goes wrong, you have several different versions of yourself plus my Doctors to help fix it. *grin* Just keep Sparky away from the sonic screwdriver, eh?

Would you use your own damned journal?

AL> *ignores*

Gary doesn't even live in the blog.

AL> Well, maybe he should.

You don't use it now! Why bother making a whole new layout when you barely use the thing?

AL> Because you refuse to let it die?

.......
Stop clogging V's comment space.

AL> *razz*

*giggles at the interaction* You know, for her being your fictional avatar, you two don't get along all that well. :p (Though I suspect I might end up being the same with JC if she lived with me.)

-Rift!Doc: Thank you. It's just -- surprising. Doesn't help that a certain pair of Rifters just sprung "Taxi" on me. *glares*-
Could have been worse. Could have been Uncle Fester. Or Judge Doom.
-Rift!Doc: . . . Point.-

AL> My friend Jim!

Stop name-dropping.

AL> *razz*

And I'm a difficult person to get along with. :p

AL> Plus she hates the sound of her own voice, so hearing me talk is torture. ^^ And yet she'll record herself saying stuff. Hmm...

Sound bytes are addicting, yo. It's kind of like having a twin...who thinks, acts and does the exact same things as you.

AL> And has powers.

Yeah, that too.

Or Professor Plum. Or Professor B.O. Beanes. Or Owen Kingston... The list goes on.

Oh, God, B.O. Beanes would have been particularly awful. Such an ASS.

He'd probably be reminded of Strickland. Professor Plum would have ended with Farley telling Doc about his uncle, and Owen Kingston (Spin City, Mike's mentor who thought he was the Messiah) would probably get the same response as Reverend Jim...

Exactly! I can feel the shudders going up Doc's spine now.

Yeah, except Farley's uncle wasn't a womanizing psychiatrist. And I think the discussion would be derailed somewhat by Tim Curry appearing in the same film.
-Rift!Doc: WTH is that you??-
-Farley: . . . .-

LOL, oh, Owen. Loved his appearance on Spin City. :D
