crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (feeling sparky/creative)

Watched "Clue" today. Oddly, it was NOT as I remembered.
-OD: *and tentacles* O.o?-
It was FUNNIER. I hadn't seen that movie in a long time, so I'd forgotten some of the good bits. Mr. Green gets SO smacked around in that movie. :D And Professor Plum is such a lech at times. And Wadsworth!
-RPD: You only like him because he reminds you of Farley.-
I do not! I'll admit it's part of the reason I like him, but he's a great character on his own. Man, I wish the DVD came with actual special features. A commentary probably would have been fantastic.
-D: Too bad.-
Yeah. Though the DVD does have one neat feature -- you can chose to watch the movie with a random ending, or with all three like in the VHS version. I went with the latter, but one day I'll watch it with the former in place. Just for laughs. *wonders which one will pop up*
-DW: You've got a lot of nostaglia-bunnies here.-
I know. Now I wish I had my books back. And we had a novelization of the movie hanging around somewhere in the bookstore. Damn it. At least I should still have the game in my closet. Could never bear to get rid of it.
-VD2: Maybe we should break it out and play a game.-
Heh, sure. Let me finish up here first, though. I'll make it quick.
-VD2: Not a problem. We need to figure out a playing order anyway.-
-HD: Perhaps we should arm-wrestle for it?-
-VD2: . . . I'm going to ignore you.-
-HD: Oh, come on, it would be fun!-
Anyway, apart from my new mini-obsession with Clue (to the point where I'm half-tempted to app Professor Plum and have the Rift affect his short-term memory so he's both movie AND book series PLum :D), there hasn't been a lot to today. Went to Subway for lunch and Friendly's for a snack. I played some Sims -- the Mortes had a rather difficult day over in [livejournal.com profile] revison_doc. Poor Holly set herself on fire!
-TD: O.O Great Scott!-
Don't worry, she's fine. Was kinda low in needs there for a while, but that matters less when you're permaplat.
-VDM: Weren't they supposed to be opening some sort of flower shop?-
Yeah, I was GONNA do that today, but Holly's accident coupled with an abbrievated playing time (had to stop when Spy Sweeper got going) led me to push it back. I did finish stocking the shelves, at least. Flower power next time.
I also did some fanficcy stuff. Here's Chapter 12 of "V.D." Hope you guys enjoy, I think I REALLY improved this chapter.
-VD: *grin* Ahh, sweet updates. Thanks Vic.-
No problem.
-TD: What about my drabbles88?-
I got an idea for another one -- yours and that one will be going up tomorrow.
-MF: Yeah, it's Clue-related.-
Hey, come on, how could I resist?
Clockwork also did a bit of Nexusing. Rift's been WAY quiet today. It's -- kinda creepy.
-RPD: Well, it IS a holiday weekend. Maybe they're out and about with their families.-
This is true. Maybe I should join one of those muse writing communities like [livejournal.com profile] thatsortofaman has done for the slow bits.
Right now, though, I'm off to browse TV Tropes and maybe look for more Clue stuff. Damn it, I get into all this stuff and [livejournal.com profile] shego2drakken's away. :( Perfect timing, Victoria.
Well, later all.

You have to admit, though, the whole "alternate endings" thing makes for interesting fan-fiction fare...

Indeedy. I have a very vague idea for a number four that's like number three, only Mr. Green shot the telegraph girl ("I told you, I'm accident-prone!"), and Communism ISN'T a red herring.

Incidentally, I don't think the third ending is actually canon. I'd swear that the missing guest in the billiard's room scene is Peacock, which makes ending number TWO correct. *shrug* I could be wrong, I only watched it once so far.
