Showdown of the Century
Sep. 7th, 2008 10:04 pmMarty vs Buford! Though, really, it's more Marty vs His Touchiness.
-M: . . . You might want to rephrase that.-
*snork* Yeah, probably. Marty vs His Temper?
-VuM: Works for me.-
Anyway, Marty defeats his opponents, he and Doc "borrow" a locomotive, Clara ends up realizing Doc was telling the truth, Doc realizes he should have installed hand rails at the very least between the DeLorean and locomotive -- really, that plan only makes sense IF he's OckDoc!
-OD: I know! Was my Trilogy self trying to get himself killed?-
-VD2: He says he had a lot on his mind!-
Anyway, have a picture:

Heh, sorry Doc, but I've always considered this one of the funniest scenes in the movies.
-HD: And I thought I drank some weird things.-
Oh, trust me, even you couldn't choke down wake-up juice.
-HD: Is that a challenge?-
NO.
Not much going on. Watched Part III this morning before Dad's football game. Ahhh, sweet Backie goodness.
-TD: Inspire you?-
Must have, since I did get some editing done on your stuff.
-TD: *highfives Victorian-Dressed Marty*-
Yes, hooray! I also popped into Sims and did some messing around with Arcanum. Put in some neighborhood decorations and placed some lots. Gotta figure out how I'm handling the families, I've had five million ideas.
-MF: Tell us about it! Where'd they all come from?-
-DW: Well, trying to design a moderately self-sufficient society is pretty tricky.-
Yeah, I know. Especially since I have limited space. Hmmm.
Mostly, today's been about Rifting and Nexusing. Clockwork's put the movie plans into his journal, gathering yeas and nays from his circle of friends. So far everyone's said yes -- just waiting on JD -- Oh, wait there we go! :D They'll probably go see "Journey to the Center of the Earth," now that I've remembered it --
-D: THERE WAS A MOVIE BASED ON A JULES VERNE BOOK AND YOU DIDN'T TELL US?!-
exists. . . . It's not REALLY, guys, it's -- more complicated. I think it takes the view that the book actually happened or something? We'll wiki it later.
-VD: No, don't wiki it! We want to see it! Even if it isn't a straight adaptation.-
-HD: Is it still in theaters? Can we see it without your fuel prices gettting in the way?-
-TD: At least convince your parents to rent it when it comes out!-
Oy vey. All right, all right, I'll see what I can do.
-TTV: *eyebrow raised* And you call me a fanboy?-
-Docs: *blush*-
I know. Also, Doc? Has met Bill and Ted. They're getting along, which is good.
-RPD: Now all he has to do is meet one of the time travlers from Terminator, and we'll be all set.-
LOL, I know. Tesla has also come back since life has stopped kicking his poor mun's butt, and we're having a thread full of doomy doom doom.
-RPM: Yeah, that looks fun.-
Well, it's good development for why Doc freaked out so much when Suzie got to him.
Okay, I have comments to answer. Later!

Date: 2008-09-08 02:34 am (UTC)Now, tell the Docs to look away.
The movie goes on the basis that the Center of the Earth does exist and someone (I think the main character of the book; I've never read it *dodges flying teacups*) told Jules Verne about it, hence why he wrote it. The characters use the book as a guide. The story and special effects and actors and characters are awesome. And I'm sure it's spectacular in 3D, I just haven't gotten the chance to see it that way. My theater doesn't have the right kind of projector.
