One Story Down
Sep. 13th, 2008 11:43 pmJust finished "Corpse Mask." Still not entirely happy with the ending, but hey -- that's for later.
-TTV: I liked it.-
Heh, but you like everything about this story.
-TTV: *blushgrin*-
-TD: Now you can focus on "Boy Genius!"-
Indeed. Still tweaking that as best I can. It will be completed before the year is out, I swear.
-VDM: We're holding you to that.-
-MF: Good thing you've still got a couple of months.-
Indeed.
Not much else happening. Went to Subway for lunch. They're doing a Subway Scrabble game. I got a free cookie with the Instant Win thing. Have to save that for the next time I go. :D
-HD: Free food. Is there anything quite so divine?-
Free money?
-HD: Point.-
Also went into Sims and messed around some more with Arcanum. Here, I have pictures:

This is Clockwork Corner, the most developed part of the neighborhood. Lots of houses. Also farmland near the top, so we know where the food comes from here.

The Royal Quarters, which includes the Royal Palace and some of the shops/places to go. Currently we've got the Inkwell Bar, Hunter's Park, and the Town Center Grocery. More shall be added, don't worry.

Finally we have the rather neglected Wizard's Den portion. Of course, the kind of shitty camera doesn't help with that -- hard to place stuff. But I shall build it up.
-D: You're really getting into that place.-
Yeah. I've already decided I'm making another teen version of you, along with a teen version of Clara.
-VD: Oh? I thought we were starting out as college students.-
Yeah, but I thought about it a bit, and it occurred to me, your parents could help start the process of buying businesses and getting this "Sim Sufficient" idea off the ground. Not to mention it'll make it so you have more than $500 starting college.
-VD: *nodnod* Always a good thing. Though our poor new Simself.-
Well, maybe this time I'll be nice and not make Elias be such an ass. We'll see.
-VD2: *mutters* Yes, good luck with that.-
-OD: How goes the Rift?-
Well, I made a thread for the movie-going, but there hasn't been much going on with it so far. Farley and Gladys have showed up, but that's it.
-RPD: They'll show up. Sooner or later.-
I hope. The rest of the Rift is Thane-fueled angst. I think we need that little island of happy.
-VD2: *raises eyebrow* Hearing you say that. . . .-
Hey, even with me it's not all angst all the time. And Thane's freaking scary. They've had to put a warning on one of his threads.
-RPD: O.O-
Yeah. *hides in the island of happy*
-DW: There's always the Nexus too.-
Yeah, though no questions have grabbed Doc yet. Farley's recently joined up, though, so at least Doc has a friend there who understands about the Rift too.
-HD: *nodnods* Having someone to talk to is always good. Except when it's not.-
-MHG: Like with the Queen.-
LOL, yeah.
Anyway, yeah, that's about it. I lead such a thrilling life, no?
