Movie Marathon Halloween!
Oct. 31st, 2008 10:57 pmYeah, you know, I had plans for this Halloween. Maybe play some Sims, host a party at the Inkwell in Clockwork's journal, all of that.
Then Mom suggested we watch "Young Frankenstein" and "Dracula, Dead and Loving It" after dinner while we waited for trick-or-treaters.
Yeah, I got nothing done.
-D: *as Dr. Frankenstein* Really? Nothing?-
-RPD: *as the Headless Horseman* *looks around at Inkwell* The Rifters and Nexusites may not be here, but this doesn't look like nothing.-
Heh, fair enough. And I DID manage to get my picture up. Here:
Happy Clockwork Halloween
-Clockwork: *as, yes, the American McGee Mad Hatter* Hey, that came out pretty good. I guess your scanner worked?-
Yes! Thank every god there is -- I was half-resigned to it not working! I even took pictures as a back-up plan. Lousy pictures, so be grateful the scanner worked.
-HD: *as Peter Pan* Hooray! *hugs*-
*giggles* Thanks.
Also, I have pictures of my costume. Lots and lots of pictures. I'll just share a select few (in thumbnails):
Me from the front, all steampunked up
Me and my jetpack. Kinda looks like a weird squid here, doesn't it? :p The streamers are meant to represent steam.
Takeoff!
-TD: *as Gilgamesh Wulfenbach* O.O?!-
:p It's Photoshopped, silly. I was standing on a board. And she added in the "real" steam.
-TD: Ooooh. *blushes*-
-DW: *as the Wolf-Man* You look very nice.-
-VD: *as Dracula* Yes, you and your Mom did a good job picking everything out.-
Thanks. Though I nearly lost a favorite piece of my costume this morning. Dropped my gun and it broke. :( Luckily my boss had some glue on hand so I could pop it back together, good as new.
-OD: *as the actual Dr. Octopus* Lucky. Though why did you gun break so easily?-
Old water gun versus concrete floor.
-OD: *tentacles nodnod* Ahh, that would do it.-
-VD2: *as -- a guy with a character sheet?* Glad you got it fixed.-
Me too. *cocks head* You know, I've been meaning to ask who you are.
-VD2: *chuckles* I'm a Tremere.-
Pardon?
-VD2: Old World of Darkness? I remember you saying most of the oldest versions of me came from "Vampire: The Masquerade." I looked them up in your old book and chose the best-fit clan.-
Ooooh! I see, yeah. *frowns* Not much of a costume.
-VD2: I know, but I really wasn't sure what to go as.-
-VD: Yeah, I was lucky to have the old Dracula costume. We'll need to think about these things earlier next year.-
Indeed.
Well, I'm gonna go listen to some Halloween music before midnight hits. And maybe make a post in Clockwork's journal anyway with the picture.
Oh, wait a minute -- where's Victor?
-Clockwork: Haven't seen him all night. Victor??-
-TD: Maybe the Grim Reaper thing in your yard scared him off.-
-Clockwork: *baffled* I didn't set up a Grim Reaper decoration.-
-TD: Then what's one doing out there?-
*lightbulb* Why do I think my Grim Reaper costume's missing. . . .
-M: *as Igor* Yo, Victor, that you?-
-Reaper: *points*-
*points back*
-Reaper: *pointing contest*-
*pointatude!*
-VD: *rolls eyes* Come on, yes or no?-
-Reaper: *points*-
-Clockwork: *rolls eyes, stirs up wind*-
-Reaper: *hood blows off to reveal Victor's face* HEY, I WAS --
*all O.o?*
Uh, Victor? I think you've been standing out there too long. Why don't you come inside and take off the costume for a bit?
-Victor: YES, I SUPPOSE I -- *cough* I suppose I OUGHT TO.-
-MF: *as a kitsune* He'll be okay, right?-
Yeah, I think he just needs to stop thinking in terms of acting like a Reaper. Drop the scythe, Victor!
