A Day of Om Nom Nom

We actually had turkey on Thanksgiving this year! It's a bit of a rare occurance in my family, since we have turkey a LOT in our regular meals. This year, though, it was the traditional roasted bird, plus broccoli with cheese sauce and mashed potatoes and gravy. And sourdough bread for sandwiches after the main meal. And chocolate eclairs for dessert.
-M: Mmm, good spread.-
-D: Delicious.-
-TTV: Wonderful, yes. Makes me sort of wish we had something like that back in England.-
Don't you guys usually have a Christmas feast?
-TTV: Well, yes, but -- we always had fish. *makes a bit of a face* I used to like fish. . . .-
*giggles* Poor Victor. Don't worry, I'm not much of a fish fan myself. Except for salmon.
-TTV: I've noticed. Father wouldn't approve.-
Let him not approve.
Anyway, the muses had the meal over in the Inkwell. We nearly had another disaster when Mrs. Plum tried to cook for the entire gang instead of just Victor's dead friends, but luckily Tie-Twister here talked her out of it.
-RPD: I don't understand that woman sometimes. She must know she's dead.-
-TTV: She does, but I think she overestimates her culinary skills sometimes. Bonejangles raves about her food, so she must be good, but --
-TD: She forgets us normal people eat more normal food?-
-TTV: I'm afraid so, I think. Please don't hold it against her.-
-VD: Of course not, Victor. She's a perfectly nice lady. Just don't want to know what goes into her stews.-
Yeah, well, luckily the regular cooks at the place took care of the food. I think we're all quite pleasantly full at the moment.
-VD2: As full as we can get, at any rate.-
-DW: What have you been doing all day?-
Lounging around, really. Just hung out and enjoyed the fact I didn't have a word count to keep up with.
-DW: Heh.-
-OD: You do still need to start a new writing project, though. Still thinking something Corpse Bride?-
Yeah, my brain's still on that channel. It's weird.
-HD: *offers me the remote control and tea* So long as you're not leaving us behind.-
I don't think I could leave behind BTTF if I tried. Or Alice In Wonderland, if you mean that.
-MF: Yeah, the Alice/Victor thoughts are still coming fast and strong. She's even working out a non-Rift way for them to meet.-
-D: Fan fiction? You ARE serious about this couple.-
*blush* They're cute together!
-TTV: *rolls eyes a bit* What about my other girlfriends?-
-M2: . . .-
-TTV: What?-
-VuM: Uh -- did you just say girlfriendS?-
-TTV: O.O Friend! Friend! I meant the singular!-
-AJ: *amused* Sure you did, Victor.-
-TTV: I did! *turns to glare at me* You did this to me. Damn you!-
*too busy laughing to care*
