A Special Ficathon

crossover_chickIntroducing The Eighty-Eight Advent Event. Through the 25 days leading up to Christmas, I'll be posting little ficlets detailing the Muse and RP characters' efforts to get our place ready for the holidays. The catch? Each minific is only eighty-eight words long. I hope you all enjoy.
December 1:
“All right, everyone!” Doc clapped his hands twice. “I’m sure we all know why we’re here. Today is the first of December, and the official start of Christmas season both here and at the Inkwell.”
“Not to hear Vicky tell it,” Marty2 said, frowning. “She’s been grouchy all day.”
“I know. It’s her job again,” Doc sighed. “Which is why we have to make this Christmas extra special!”
He paused. “And I think I’ve doomed things already by saying that.”
“Probably,” VampDoc2 agreed.
“Damn it. Good luck, everyone.”
Also, there is the biggest snowfight EVER over in the Rift. Clockwork just joined up with E and Gladys, because it's probably illegal for a weather controller to miss this. I just wish most of the action didn't happen while I was asleep!
