Let's discuss cake! :D
-HD: I can get behind that!-
-M: Do we have cake?-
We have 80s Sunday Sweets from Cake Wrecks, one of my favorite blogs. Specifically, we have DeLorean cake as the last cake in that bunch.
-VM: Seriously?! That's awesome!-
It is! Though I have a problem with the Sunday Sweets.
-TD: Why? Do you think more time should be devoted to the Wrecks?-
No, I get my fill of those. My problem is the cakes are too pretty.
-TD: . . . Not following.-
Let me put in terms you'd probably understand. With the Sunday Sweets, it sometimes feels like function follows form, not the other way around.
-D: *eyebrowarch* I'm not quite sure I understand. Are you complaining about how nice they look? Because I don't see a problem with that, if you're going to make something, you might as well do it with style.-
You're supposed to cut them up.
-VD2: That is generally what you do with cake.-
Do YOU want to cut up one of those pieces of art?
-VD2: . . . Oooooh. Yes, now I see. It's hard to remember something that pretty is designed to be consumed.-
Yeah. I could never get a proper Sunday Sweet. I'd never want to eat it, and you cannot have uneaten cake lying around.
-HD: Never!-
-WRM: Yeah, smell bad after a while.-
-VD: So you'd rather eat a Wreck than a Sweet?-
Hey, the advantage of eating a Wreck is that you don't have to LOOK at anymore! And the blog only features cakes that look bad, never says much about them tasting bad.
-OD: Does anyone else really want cake now?-
It's a hazard of this kind of talk. We may still have Girl Scout cookies.
-Muses: *go to see*-
Me, I have tags to make. Nexus has itself a truth-telling LOL. *eeeevilgrin*
-RPD: Oh dear lord.-
