crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (exhausted)

Let's have a quote from the famous skateboard chase, shall we?

Random Extra Girl: *watching Marty passing outside, riding the lower board of some kid's scooter and hanging onto the back of a truck as he flees Biff and his cronies* What's that thing he's on?
Captain Obvious Boy: It's a board with wheels!
Lorraine: *all impressed* He's an absolute dream!

-M: *snickers at Captain Obvious Boy*-
Well, he is!
Not much to report today -- it's been a lazy sort of Sunday. I will say this, however -- I'm never staying up until past 3 A.M. again. I slept like shit last night, and now I'm feeling wobbly.
-VD: What on earth possessed you to stay up so late?-
Idiot me decided to reread some stories in WordPerfect, started correcting a few typos, and -- wham! I didn't get to bed until around 3:20.
-TD: Let's not do that again.-
No way. My limit's 2 A.M. from now on.
I do, however, have some stuff for you all to read -- the first three chapters of "The Tale."
Chapter One
Chapter Two
Chapter Three
Enjoy! I'm working on Chapter Four now -- hooray for Doc finally getting introduced. (Though given my current rather exhausted state, I get the feeling parts of his intro are gonna get rewritten.) As for wordcount:

17175 / 50000 words. 34% done!
Again, a little less than I usually do, but I'm really tired here at the moment.
-VD: You've got a substantial lead, and you're still doing quite well.-
I know. Just have to keep up the place.
Okay, later y'all.

I like it. (Surprise, surpise) I remember you posting about this thing before, but I'm afraid I've forgotten if you mentioned the inspration. What gave you the idea for another Epic Crossover of Doom?

Mary not feeling fear kind of reminds me of The Tale of Despereaux a little.

:) This webcomic was the major inspiration: No Rest For The Wicked (http://www.forthewicked.net/). I liked the mixing of the fairy tales -- and Red hit me as rather Alicey. It just sort of grew from there.

Isn't Alice herself from a fairytale? Well I know your Alice is from the game but I mean in general.

Eh -- it's listed under fairy tales on TV Tropes, I'll grant you that, but I've never really seen it as such. Maybe it's me -- I always think fairy tales need to be set in semi-medieval times.

Good work! I really liked the 'Duke Zemeckis' and 'Gale's Town' references. Victor and Alice both have scary stories to tell, though.

I think you made a little mistake, though:

Marty blinked – he hadn’t meant to say that allowed.

Didn't you mean aloud instead? It's still very good, though. Everyone's allowed to make mistakes after all. Things like that happen.

And now, let's hope that it won't take too long before Chapter Four shows up...
