crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (In a sarcastic mood)

Let's just say I had a late start on a bad day (gut-related issues) and leave it at that.

Well, except for the Christmas fic:
The Ninth Thing of Christmas that’s such a pain to me:

Finding Parking Spaces
“Jesus Christ, is every hitching post in town occupied?!”
Marty looked around as he gripped his horse’s reins. Around him was a sea of other equines, all tied to the various rails and posts provided. “How many people live in this tiny town?” he continued, amazed.
“Obviously more than we thought,” Victor murmured, staring at the miles of horseflesh.
“Either that, or almost everyone in town has relatives coming in for the holidays,” Doc said, as his own horse snorted. “All the boarding houses and such seem to be full.”
“Yeah. Still, you think we’d still have some place to put our horses! Can’t just leave ‘em out on the street!”
“We’ll find some place, Marty, don’t worry,” Jennifer assured him. “There must be a free post somewhere.”
“I don’t know,” Alice said, frowning as they passed another row of horses. “Perhaps we should go into the forest and whittle our own posts?”
Doc suddenly arched an eyebrow. “Actually, Alice, that gives me an idea. . . .”
A few minutes later, one of the townsfolk did a double take as he beheld the five horses tethered to a long metal pole with a bowl at the end of it, their manes and tails floating a bit from an unseen static charge.

Oh, hey, everyone talks in this one! I just noticed. Nice. Anyway, this one was a bit of a toughie -- the later verses tended to give me a bit of trouble, as the universe "The Tale" is set in is quasi-medieval/Victorian. I managed to come up with the whole "can't find any place to tether the horses" idea pretty quickly, but I had to do some serious thinking to come up with how they were going to solve it. Finally, I remembered Doc's early prototype of the "Static-O-Matic" (the barber chair seen in the ride) in Chapter 10 and decided just to end on a funny image of the horses tethered to it with their hair all staticy and floating. Probably not the best way to secure your horses, as the instant something spooks them, they're going to be dragging that pole away, but our group had limited choices.
-M: When in doubt, always go for the funny?-
Or the drama. Either works.

All right, off to do some more web-surfing. And hope my guts give me a break.
