Very Much Not Lazy Sunday
May. 23rd, 2010 10:57 pmSpent most of the day out and about, actually -- first went up to Subway to try the new Orchard Chicken sandwich (which was pretty good, but tasted mostly like regular chicken salad), and then we all headed out to an afternoon showing of Iron Man 2. My impressions on that -- it had some awesome bits, and some really good special effects. I found myself considering pretty much everyone in the movie a Jerkass at least once, though. (Except maybe Happy. I like Happy.) And Whiplash's first appearance had me thinking, "What the hell is he, a BDSM villain?"
-Muses: *stare*-
Oh come, look at what he was wearing! And he wields electric whips! Which, admittedly, are pretty cool, but still.
Doc remains popular on the internetz, while VictorPlush and company are apparently trying to create a nation on my bed. They're trying to design a flag now.
-Muses: . . . .-
-D: I think you got a little too into Kickassia.-
It was good! And it's not quite over, you know.
-M: Wha? Wasn't the last episode posted yesterday?-
Yes, but now there are bloopers. And Spoony did a commentary. And there's another Linkara crossover I have to watch.
-VD2: *headdesk* Oh God, it never ends. . . .-

After reading a fan-novelization, I figured they weren't being jerks so much as having really conflicting interests (Tony doesn't want to see the suit in the wrong hands, Rhodey is trying to do his job and be friends with Tony, etc.), but yeah - they end up being kind of jerks in the process. Which makes it nice to see Rhodey, then Fury, then Coulson put Tony in his place. (And makes me wonder if Vanko didn't, in a roundabout way, actually succeed in what he was trying to do.)
But yeah, Happy is cool. Not to mention one of the few reasonably decent people in the movies. (Makes me kinda sad that Pepper didn't end up with him in the end...)
