Chatter, and a Request

Fairly busy Thursday -- been doing stuff all over the place. First off, I am now the proud owner of the BTTF 25th Anniversary DVD box set. :D I particularly like the cover on this one -- it looks dynamic. And I'm looking forward to watching all the special features. It's funny, though -- it looks like they split up most of the new stuff over the three movie discs, and put all the old stuff on the bonus disc. *shrug* And there's actually SEVEN discs in there -- the 3 movies in DVD format, the 3 movies in "insert this and get digital copies" format, and the bonus disc. Wild.

Secondly, there was video-game playing. There's a shortish update on the McFlys at ink_sec_sims: Dave visits the mall. There's also a post showing where everybody is on the island, but I figure you all would have seen that back when it was in the Inkwell. In Alice news, I'm about halfway through Burning Curiosity. And I have a new hatred of Fire Snarks. They're popping up EVERYWHERE all of a sudden! And they're near-impossible to hit! At least with Boojums, Ladybugs, and even normal Snarks, you get a chance to kill them! Thank God I discovered dropping a Jackbomb in the lava will actually take care of them, or I wouldn't have gotten as far as I did. Ye Gods, remind me why I decided to try Hard Mode.

And, on the LJ front, I finally made the journal for the new Victor: 8butterflyboy8.

butterflyboy and butterfly_boy were taken. And it wouldn't let me just put an underscore after the name. So I threw the 8s around it. They're, ah, like butterfly wings?
-D: *suspicious* Or a stealthy BTTF reference?-
Well, you and Marty are pretty important to the universe he comes from. He's got a profile all set up, and a good number of userpics. I love some of the faces he makes in the storyboards and concept art. XD
-RPD: *studying* No default pic, though?-
*blush* Ah, no. You see, I wanted at least one picture of him with goggles for the default, and --
Well, these are my attempts at that:


Yeaaah. I kind of suck at drawing on the computer. I just can't get used to the feel of the mouse for freehanding, and using the circle tool is -- iffy. I suppose I could do better with an actual pencil, but I doubt much better.

So, uh, can one of you with actual drawing skills lend me a hand? I'm not asking for a finished drawing -- hell, you don't even have to draw more than the goggles themselves. Here's the post with all the original concept art -- if someone could just stick a pair of goggles on one or two of the Victor heads, I'd really appreciate it. If you want, we can trade -- you do art, I do a drabble? I feel a little awkward in asking this, but I really would like one or two icons where he looks like he actually comes from a steampunk verse.


So, yeah. Just gotta get through tomorrow, then we have a weekend! A Halloween weekend, no less. :D I'm looking forward to showing y'all my costume. I hope you like it!

Glad you liked the twist on the username (though it kills me that butterflyboy never actually updated >.<)

As for the icon -- I hate to say it, but it just doesn't look right to me. I was looking for all drawn, not a mix of real and illustration. I really do appreciate the effort, though.
