crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)

Now that the dust from all the sequels (primarily I and II) colliding has settled down, we can get onto the beginning of Part III proper. Specifically, we can watch Doc have one of the most hilarious freakouts on film. His scream when he first sees Marty is PRICELESS. XD
-VD: What is this, make fun of Dr. Brown week?-
It must also be ogling week, because you sure are cute zonked out on that couch.
-D: *quietly* I have come to the conclusion that women are simply impossible to understand.-
There's also surprisingly-tender letter reading. Admit it, when the boys started getting a little misty-eyed, you did too.
-M2: Hey, that was a touching moment.-
Not saying it wasn't. Far from it.

In other news -- crap, I remember two things I wanted to say, but I think there was a third. . . . Anyway, watched Young Frankenstein over lunch today, which is helping with the NaNo mood. :) I also keep feeling like it's supposed to be Sunday, because of my extra-long weekend. (Doesn't help that I automatically think of November 12th as a Saturday.) Still, it'll be a nice surprise once my brain really catches up. "Oh, hey, another day off!"
I do have something that I'm fiddling with. You guys may have noticed that I haven't linked to my website nor updated it in some time. There's a reason for that. I've got a new Firefox widget called WOT, which ranks websites based on trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy, and child safety. Every time I try to get to my website, WOT tells me it's unsafe. This is not a problem with my website as much as it is a problem with the site I'm using, freewebtown. (At least, I HOPE it's not -- has anyone had a problem with Back To The Vampire? Please tell me.) Apparently their rating is in the absolute DUMPS because of problems with viruses. I don't know if it's a problem with viruses being on the site itself, or if the site attracts jerks who upload viruses onto their sites.
-VuM: *deadpan* Pleasant.-
Yeah. So I've been thinking about moving my site to a new provider. (And possibly changing the name, because, as VampDoc and VampDoc2 can confirm, I'm more or less off the whole vampire thing.) I've found a couple of sites that WOT likes, at any rate. I'm just wondering who I should possibly sign up with. The part you guys can help me with is:

Should I test the waters by making a really simple site first that basically just has my NaNos on them?

The reason I ask is because that seems to be the stuff people want to read most around here (looks at [livejournal.com profile] gigs_83), and they're currently the most inaccessible stories (as I believe almost everything else is up at FF.net or devART). It would be something, at least, right? (And if I like what happens, then I can see about redoing the entire site.)

The other thing to mention is me wanting to do something with [livejournal.com profile] 8butterflyboy8. The poor guy's been so quiet since he joined the Inkwell -- I'm worried we traumatized him.
-RPD: Yes, because throwing a young man you yourself know is pretty much perpetually nervous into a situation where protonic streams are being used to capture ghosts and mood slime is drugging other versions of himself is such a good way to introduce him to this world.-
I know that's sarcasm, but given how crazy it can get around here. . . .
-RPD: . . . Okay, point. Thinking of having him hit the multiverse?-
Not quite yet -- I gotta deal with Dee going there this month, along with everybody else. Especially since Alice's question will probably kick off the KoH stuff. . . .
-TTV: When did your Nexus-playing get so plot-heavy?-
I don't know. It's weird. At least Simon and Steve & Gary can stay nice and random. I was thinking more of something with prompts or a meme for Butterfly Boy.
-OD: Oh, I'm sure you can find plenty of those!-
Yeah -- the trouble is, which choice is best. . . .

*looks innocent*

has anyone had a problem with Back To The Vampire?

Not I.

I have no advice on the site front since I pay for my hosting. *shrug*

:p

Well, that's good.

Yeah, I suppose that would make it easier, but I'm trying to keep my expenses low now that I don't have a steady source of income. (Also, the space-time continuum glitched -- I got your edited response shortly before your original response. XD)

I pay $7.50 (would be $10 but I get $2.50 off for referring myself when I made the barn's site), which isn't bad but could still hurt on a budget.
