crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)

-->Day: Cold and gloomy, for the most part. Started out semi-sunny, but by the time I got back, it was snowing. >.<
-->Borders: No Maskerade. Where the hell is this book?! I did, however, encounter Alice In Zombieland, a zombie-themed retelling of the classic. Didn't buy it, though -- I' still love P&P&Z, but I've yet to get into any of the other rewrites. Frankly, I think the craze is getting a little out of hand. Besides, I want to see Alice vs zombies, I just have to watch the gameplay videos for "Madness Returns.
-->Newbury: Better luck -- the 25th anniversary BTTF minimates were out!

As you can see, we have another 1955 Marty, another 1955 Biff, a 1985 Doc, and Strickland, who is generic enough to be from either 1955 or 1985.

Marty comes with a couple of neat accessories: his Walkman with headphones, and the scooter he turns into a skateboard. Haven't yet yanked it apart, but we'll see. Also, the things in the background are fire trails for the DeLorean.

Close-up of the Walkman -- I thought it was a walkie-talkie when I saw it in-package because you couldn't see the headphones then. It's a neat thing to add, though. Also, I don't know if this is just my Marty, but the way one of his sleeves is modeled, I can't get him to bend at the elbow. Weird.

Doc gets the most cool stuff in this package. Here we have him with his pistol (remember him shooting at the Libyans?) and a rather badly molded version of the DeLorean controls.

His full radiation-suit getup includes gloves (which were a bitch to get on) and the radiation mask.

And his comes already properly stuck together and hinged! Nice! (I managed to get Radiation!Marty's on him properly after this.)

He also has an alternate torso revealing the bullet-proof vest. Complete with bullet splashes, I just realized that's actually mildly creepy.

Biff and Strickland don't have any accessories, but I think you'll agree Biff has a fantastic expression. And I kind of like Strickland's blocky head. (Even if I'm still confused as to WHY he gets a minimate. Seriously, Diamond Select, no Clara at least?)

So yes, got the minimates and History of the World, Part I by Mel Brooks on DVD. I was going to get Scott Pilgrim, but the only copy they had was $27.99. I may have gift card money left, but that's a bit much. Definitely going to see if I can get it cheaper.
-->Subway: Chicken Bacon Ranch. Om nom nom.
-->Dave & Busters: Half price games! Did a couple of rounds of Guitar Hero (thank you, D&B, for restoring Beginner Mode!), played lots of skeeball (what, it's fun and cheap even at full price), won myself a bunch of tickets on the ticket games. Basically had a good time. :)
-->Dairy Queen: Got a chocolate shake. Not bad, but I think Ben & Jerry's does shakes better.

So, not a bad day out. Now if only I could find this freaking next Discworld book! Dad's suggested ordering online -- now just who do I order from. . . .

Okay, got my page on "Secundus" written, so I can feel less shame in spending my time watching Paw and Pushing Up Roses play Oregon Trail on That Guy With the Glasses. :D
-OD: *tentacles do a convincing impression of rolling their eyes* At least she wrote.-
