Bit of a Shitty Sunday

crossover_chickFor the folks, at least -- Mom had a bad day at her job, while Dad's sick (whether he's got what I had on Tuesday or something else remains to be seen). Me, I'm just dealing with my red curse and my printer being out of ink.
Not much to report on, honestly -- I spent some time in Steampunk Gulch in the Sims, doing building projects:
The completed (at least for now) Pastor Galswells' Church! I changed the windows and added some trees to the back of the lot for interest.
The interior's been finished with a bathroom and small guest reception area (basically, an area in which to eat cake).
It's admittedly not set up for very many people, but I hate large outings anyway. I may or may not be adding a piano or karaoke machine somewhere on the premises, though -- this place needs a fun object. (Oh, and that counter holds a dishwasher. And the reason the carpet's green is to reflect the green glow we saw from back there when the dead were dragging Barkis down.)
Dark Forest Cemetery! I didn't even try to be too faithful to the movie here, since that would have been kinda impossible. (Though maybe I should add a stream. . . .) Graves will eventually be placed here for storage -- for now, there's a buttload of creepy tall trees, a tree ring. . . .
And a bunch of little signpost graves to represent the little cemetery Victor literally falls into when he's first running from Emily. They're a Halloween decoration I downloaded -- they also come in pumpkin and ghost.
I also visited EVL, but he hasn't done much as of yet, so I'll hold off on his update. Mainly, today has been about browsing the web, getting distracted on said web, and writing more on "Secundus."

Yeah, but neither feels quite right yet. I think I want to replay "Citizen Brown" before putting them out there. Make sure I've got everything kosher.
Speaking of video games, still getting my head around the wealth of Alice info that's been dropped on us. According to the forums, though, American's latest interview says that "Madness Returns" takes place a year after she's left the asylum. She gets released from the asylum sometime between August and November 1874, so it's likely A:MR takes place somewhere between August and November 1875. Ergo, she's 20. Hooray for knowing (or at least being able to take an educated guess at) her age!

-HD: This would not be an issue if people just celebrated unbirthdays instead of birthdays.-
Yes it would be -- people could tell your age by the day you DIDN'T celebrate, then.

-TTV: Well, at least this makes it easy to cross her over with my world, hmm?-
Easier, anyway. Though, speaking of that, I've had two ideas regarding CB + AMA/A:MR. First off, since Alice is getting new dresses in this sequel, perhaps Victor should get new suits. So he can match as they go off and visit the new subrealms.
-VD: Playing dress-up again, hmm?-
Hey, so's American this time around! Anyway, I only have a few ideas so far:
1. London/Burtonsville (Land of the Living)
Alice: Black-and-white-striped dress with pinafore/apron
Victor: His movie outfit (the black suit with dark grey-striped pants, dull blue tie, and dull red vest)
2. Wonderland Vale of Tears
Alice: Classic dress (blue dress, white pinafore/apron with symbols on pockets, black-and-white-striped stockings, black buckled boots)
Victor: Keep the black suit, but give him a bright blue tie and a white waistcoat to match her dress
3. Wonderland Hatter's Domain
Alice: Steampunk/gothic industrial black dress with outside corset, long black gloves with buckles, and what looks like a metallic butterfly ornament on the back
Victor: Okay, who guessed his "Secundus" outfit? You're almost right -- I want him to be wearing a brown or blue tie shaped like a butterfly with a brown or blue vest.
4. Wonderland Queensland
Alice: Red and black dress with long dark gloves, and a white pinafore/apron with diamond, club, and spade symbols (also, her necklace is now a choker)
Victor: Dark red suit jacket, black pants, either a white tie or white vest with the card symbols
5. Land of the Dead
Alice: Her classic dress, only with an extremely ragged skirt and missing a tie on the back of her apron; part of her neck is skeletonized, along with the pinky and ring fingers of her left hand, and she has a long gash along the other arm
Victor: His classic suit in its ripped form, along with ragged pant and shirt cuffs and a hole in his side; the tips of his fingers on his right hand have bone showing, along with his right wrist, and his ribs are showing through his side hole
I added in those last ones because I wanted to do something Burtony along with all the "Alice" stuff. Pretend it's one of Victor's superpowers. :p
The second idea is something I have already mostly talked myself out of, but I felt the urge to share the username.
-TD: *laughs* Oh dear, another journal?-
I didn't give in! It doesn't exist!
-DW: *amused* Who was it going to be for?-
It was a next-gen thing -- a group journal for Victor and Alice's kids.
-MF: Which universe? I mean, I guess there's really only two you've gotten solid, "Solicitor's Ward" and "Secundus"--
Both. Ya see, I generally think of the SW-kids as young uns, while the "Secundus" kids are generally teenagers. . . . And I know I basically have no PBs for any of them, so it's a good thing it's just a passing fancy.
-TTV: *looking thoroughly weirded out, nods*-
