Otherwise known as "I didn't get up to much other than finishing off my read of the PDF version of the AMA Prima Guide, will this lousy weather get lost already, so have an update on EVL":

Primary focus is still on gaining some more magic skill. He's a busy little beaver of a Sim.

Needing to check his grade bar (stupid glitch that makes it impossible to tell from home), I send him off to a community lot. I love watching them take off on their brooms -- they always look so happy. :D

Since his finals were coming up fast, I forwent a date with Felicia and instead just had him visit the College Corner Market. As you can see, there's really not much to it.

Hey look, another study party! And this one I didn't even set up (beyond telling EVL to do an assignment).

Don't be fooled by the light snow cover -- it's spring nowadays around campus. EVL decides to try and catch some butterflies. Apparently he secretly likes Nature, as he also expressed wants for a garden plot and orchard tree. Of course, this is shit I can get behind, being a Sims gardening fanatic myself.

EVL has a distinct lack of male friends, so I have him chat with one of the visiting frat boys. The conversation doesn't last long, though -- anti-warlock prejudice, or just a lack of conversational topics?

Well, this was a boring trip, but at least he got some toasted marshmallows out of the deal. (They're a custom food I picked up, and now my townies like to make them for some reason.)

Back at home, he goes treasure hunting before his final. Only picks up a bone, though. Come on, dude, find another treasure chest!
He got an A+ on his finals -- officially into semester 2 of Junior year now. I plan on getting him engaged to Felicia while it's still spring, then maybe starting a garden once the snow finally clears up. He should be able to get one crop of tomatoes before leaving school, right?
-D: One would hope. He's still got -- 12 days to go, including the three-day grace period after graduation. Should be enough time for some tomatoes.-
I hope so. Oh, and there's actually another family in the bin now:

-RPD: *laugh* How'd I know you'd cave?-
Well, I was looking at the ones on ModTheSims here -- I personally think they're kinda creepy-looking, but then I hate uber-realistic Sims -- and I noticed that hair mesh actually looked pretty good. So I downloaded it, poked into my game to try it out, ended up designing what I felt was a halfway-decent Marty, got amused when I found two pieces for teens that actually sorta looked like his first 1930s outfit, and *shrug* -- family.
-M2: Finally made me Doc's kid, huh?-
If I'm doing fandom families for Steampunk Gulch, they're going to be small and easy to keep track of. And nobody's moving in until EVL gets his business to top ranking. That I'm firm on.
-RPM: Gonna make any others?-
Well, I did have an idea for one other college family to be unlocked. We'll see if I actually decide to do it, though.
Anyway, yes, that's my contribution to your entertainment today. Unless you guys really want to hear about the AMA Prima Guide.
-VD: I can't imagine there was much new for you in it.-
A little more than you might think -- the guide has some enemies in different spots and suchlike. For example, there was supposed to be a Phantasmagoria in front of Gryphon's cell in Hatter's domain. I guess they changed things after the guide was written. They also missed out on a couple of Darkened Looking Glasses and other secrets. Though I was glad to see even the writers of the Guide went "screw THAT" to following the insane kid at the end of the Majestic Maze level. Their solution, however, involved luring an enemy onto the pressure platform so you could reach the end of the level. I think that's more of a good way to get yourself clobbered. My advice? Just use the Ice Wand's ice wall. Pretty much the only time you'll find a use for it.
Okay, I have editing to do -- laters!
