Memories That Make You Cry

Have to write fast, as we seem to be getting thunderstorms. And I just noticed the current LJ header image kind of matches Alice's Silk Maiden dress. XD
-->That jade room I mentioned last time? It's a death trap! Once you go in a certain ways, two dog head pillars start jetting FIRE everywhere. You gotta watch how you move very carefully.
-->Went up, got a Liddell memory -- and it's the opening cutscene of AMA redone. With Alice's mother and father crying out for her to save herself and for Lizzie to open the door. . . I'm not gonna lie, I misted up there. :(
-->Used a keyhole door and pullchain to get past the fire trap and continue on my way.
-->Fire jets taken out -- only for stompy things in front of a necessary keyhole door to start up. Took me a couple of tries, but I got past 'em. And then there's MORE fire things to deal with, on platforms that go up and down. Fortunately I didn't need to spend long doing that either.
-->Another scroll section to go through -- this time with enemy dangers. I spent the LONGEST time trying to get past two archers at the end. McGee, fun is not FAILING fifty million times.
-->And when I get out of the scroll, I get to fight TWO Menacing Ruin! Joy! Managed to kill them eventually.
-->Another sliding blocks puzzle -- I had to kill what felt like ten thousand Slithering Ruin to get one block. But hey, better those little guys than any of the others.
-->Sliding blocks solved, and we continue on our way.
-->Alice comes to a section of jumping -- that's all about jumping on nasty cages where Origami Ants are imprisoned. And one even laments that the wasps are letting their young feed on the Ants' corpses! D: Victor Van Dort, how you can love all insects is beyond me.
-TTV: Well, admittedly, I'm not that fond of wasps. Also, the creatures are typically not sentient and probably doing it for the "evulz," as you might call it.-
This is true.
-->Get a memory -- more Bumby blathering on about how forgetting is an art. Then continue on to fight more enemies and do more jumping puzzles.
-->Meet a little Origami Ant in a cage, who implores us to wake a frog so we can continue on our way. To do that, though, we need to take care of some Ink Wasps and a Colossal Ruin. Bring it on! I don't quake upon seeing you lot anymore!
-->Kill the Ruin, take care of the Ink Wasp tablets, try to figure out how to get up to the frog. . .Oh, hey, keyhole door! Which leads to a pullchain -- ah, that's how it works!
-->Venture deeper into the mountain, locate more enemies and a Radula Room -- fortunately this one is a "survive for so long," so all I have to do is run around in circles avoiding the baddies. Hooray for paint!
-->Run around collecting bottles, fighting enemies, doing jumping puzzles. . .
-->Another Radula Room -- this one another scroll section, though it's not quite as hard. One more room to go!
-->Land on this one battle arena that has who knows HOW many Archer Wasps, a Daimyo Wasp, and Samurai Wasps! Oh ye Gods! And the first time I defeat them all, there's been a glitch because something didn't spawn right, joy. Reload times!
-->Application of Hysteria, Teapot Cannon, and Hobby Horse finally kills all the bastards, and I take a moment to shoot up a snout and collect some goodies.
-->I ended in front of another scroll section -- hopefully any archers will be easier to get past!
-->Question of the game: Why didn't Lizzie unlock her door? Is Alice's SISTER somehow responsible for the fire? Or was someone trying to specifically kill Lizzie? Hmm. . .
Thunder seems to have moved on, hooray.
-RPD: Now, just out of curiosity, how are you going to handle Episode 5 of BTTF: The Game? Comes out today, you know.-
Yeah, I do. My plan of attack is to keep at Alice until I finish Chapter 3, then take a break to play the BTTF Game. Then once Episode 5 is complete, it's back to Alice.
-M2: Good thing our game is so short, huh?-
LOL, yes. Though Episode 5 looks veeery interesting. . .
-HD: Just out of curiosity's sake, how are you doing with your collectibles?-
8/11 pig snouts, 18/19 memories, 3/4 Radula Rooms, 15/18 bottles. I probably won't get all the memories, because in reviewing the ones I have, I seem to have skipped one of the Liddell ones. Ah well, that's what replays are for. Once I've gone through the entire game, then I'll start looking for walkthroughs and suchlike to see what I missed.
And there's the thunder again, so later!
