Why the hell the obsession with the "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" section on TV Tropes?

Seriously, I spent a good portion of the afternoon just browsing the episode recaps on there. I -- have no idea where the hell this came from. No clue. At all. Why now, ponies? I mean, not bashing the show, it looks good and all, but -- the hell.

And yes, I'm mentally designing pony-forms of some of my characters. I've actually already done Victor and Alice once before, but I'm thinking of doing them again and tweaking the designs. And figuring out cutie marks. (I want Alice's to be the Vorpal Blade, natch.)

While we're on the subject of insane crossovers, I might as well share this funny idea I had for a take on A Christmas Carol. For a while now, I've been picturing Victor, Alice, and their various fanmade kidlets as the Cratchit family -- but I couldn't figure out who should play Scrooge. Neither Barkis nor Bumby seemed appropriate, since they're both so up there on the evil scale. Who the hell could I put in there to be redeemed?

Then I remembered -- I DO know a terrible villain who ended up being redeemed.

EDNA STRICKLAND.

Come on, the elderly version of her would be PERFECT as a Scrooge! And this led me to the even more hilarious twist of BIFF TANNEN acting out Fred's role, inviting her over because "Dad really wants to see you. . . ."

I don't know if I'd ever write this twist, but it sure is fun to think about. XD

Okay, now I've really got to do something to catch up on LiveJournal.

I keep trying to pony-fy Clark's name and it ain't happening, lol. Superpony was easy. Clark Kent? Uhhhhh nope.

I have no idea how to pony-fy names. The closest I've come is "Hoof Valley" for Hill Valley.

You just make up something like that for ponyfying, yeah. Like Doctor Hooves, or Fillydelphia, etc. (Also, words like anyone and everybody are anypony and everypony.)

I suppose you could go with Marty McFoal, but I've got nothing for anyone else, sadly. (Well, except that "dock" is a horse term too, so you could still have a Dock Brown.) I'm leaning towards Colt Kent for Clark, because nothing else really works.

It's supposed to be something related to your "special talent" -- which means Alice's Vorpal Blade still fits, but would Victor's be a butterfly or musical notes? Or maybe even a quill pen for his drawing? *le confused*
