EVL Update
Dec. 30th, 2011 11:14 pmHe's had a fairly busy two days -- let's see how it went:

EVL's new house -- a two-story Tudor with room to expand and set up a garden. It's a little oddly furnished because I was only just barely able to get it below the 20,000 simoleon line. Good thing I stocked up with stuff from his college place.

First order of business -- not making reagents, but making Faerie Fire Floor Lamps. After buying him a fridge and bed -- and later a desk and chair -- he had barely any money left, so I figured he could craft his own light sources. They work really well.

Why yes, I am totally spamming Magivestium to get him more magic skill fast.

And it works, too -- he went up another point shortly after moving in, learning the very useful spell Creatum Nutriens. Hey, anything that keeps food bills down.

Welcome Wagon stopped by, consisting of townies named Rose, Phil, and Leo. EVL chatted with Rose and Leo, who both did some Networking with him. Rose tried to set him up on a blind date (he's ENGAGED woman), while Leo just boosted his reputation to the max. Nice?

Shortly after they left, all my teleporting caught up with me. You see, doing neutral magic subtracts points from the good and evil ends of the scales. Result? Emmett Victor Liddell is now just "the Warlock" instead of "the Nice Warlock."

His wand, spellbook, and cauldron have changed too. It's a bit weird to see him as a Neutral Warlock -- I'm used to the white robes. I dunno if I"m really in any hurry to change him back, however. He DOES use the neutral spells more often. We'll see.

EVL attempts some treasure hunting on a hole a wolf dug. All he does is make another water pipe mess.

He does, however, finally make friends with Gerard. Hooray for male bonding for a change. He also got a job thanks to the Mr. Humble-delivered computer -- an Oceanography position that pays fairly well. He's only keeping it until his wife gets settled in and he can start working on his robot shop.

Emmett Victor Liddell -- so neat, he eats gingerbread men with a fork. (Okay, yeah, it's more likely this is just the standard animation, but still funny.)

Tuesday had him at his new job most of the day -- he got promoted, though, and got a memory of earning $25,000, so that's something. (There was also a chance card, but I ignored that, not wanting him to get penalized on his first day.) His outfit doesn't really scream Oceanographer, does it?

Another treasure hunt on a wolf hole -- this time very successful. That Tray o'Orbs is worth $850 in their world. Hooray for money!

To celebrate, EVL asks his girl out on a date to Maple Springs Pool & Spa. Felicia accepts, and they head out.

Felicia: Yeah, hate to tell you this, but I'm not exactly swimming in simoleons.
This is probably because her only potential customer for reagents and stuff is a) her boyfriend b) who makes his own for free.

EVL: Congratulations on taking my virginity!
I love this. XD

They're magically adorable!

Oh for -- must you try and ruin every one of their dates?! (Kim here was also present when EVL proposed to Felicia.)

We all hate her, honey.

EVL thinks about yummy things while Felicia forces half her body into a wall to cast a spell. After Tinkering, Cuisine seems to be one of EVL's favorite hobbies.

What's more romantic than caressing your beloved's face surrounded by magically-induced sunlight?

Felicia: Hey, wanna woohoo again?
I nearly did have them do so, but I figured public woohoo wasn't really shy Emmett Victor's style.

Cuddling's okay, though. Amusingly, EVL's bathing suit pretty much perfectly matches his new job of Dive Master in his career.

He's also perfectly willing to invite Felicia home and woohoo there. The date ended midway through the woohoo as a Dream Date, which was nice. Emmett Victor went to bed not too long after, and that's where we stop for now.
-RPD: *teasing* All this per-marital woohoo -- naughty.-
I'm trying to break some old habits, leave me alone. Anyway, that's the most interesting thing that's going on right at the moment, so I'm gonna get on answering some
charloft prompts. Later!
