He went with the "independent" ending, which apparently involves your character flipping everyone off (well, everyone he/she doesn't kill). XD My headcanon for this ending is that the character ends up Beckett's research assistant, and they have wild adventures.

Additional note of the night: Helloween's new Let's Play is of a mod for Half-Life 2 called "Nightmare House 2." Apparently features a ghost character named Emily. I initially thought of our lovely Corpse Bride, but -- you know, I've also heard the original Haunted Mansion bride ghost in Disney was an Emily. And there's a real ghost Emily. . . I'm starting to wonder if Emily is a popular name for dead girls, particularly those who died violently. I have no idea how you'd research this, but still.

DEAR GOD I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME.

BTW, what clan did he play? The one I watched played my personal favorite, the Malkavian, but I'm rather curious.

LOL, so I guessed when I recognized a certain character(s) you referenced before. :p

Tremere -- he was very fond of Blood Boiling people. And making them puke up blood. I'll have to check out a Malk Let's Play sometime, I'm sure -- I've already seen clips of them against the TV and the stop sign.

You mean Therese/Jeanette?

Tremere -- he was very fond of Blood Boiling people. And making them puke up blood.

Wouldn't we all?

Actually, I've played through with all the clans except the Ventrue (you can't feed off rats, and with the hookers and the bums you have a 50% chance of puking it back up), Nosferatu (pretty much a walking Masquerade violation, and I freaked over the possibility of getting all five violations the first time I walked out the door), and Toreador (though that was more how I was spending my experience points. And I also kinda wanted to smack Gary every time he talked.)

Favorite part of being Malkavian though (other than leveling Obfuscate up to level 5 and being able to go anywhere) was the little things you catch when you replay with the characters and the story.

Here's the one I watched: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=4271201606AF5B99

And the best ending to the Therette storyline (he only managed to save Therese): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCyR0rWUjgg

One last question - what parts of the game freaked you out?

That's the one/two. :p Rather awesome character.

LOL, yeah.

Ahhhh, I see. It's rather cool how they differentiate the clans, though it sounds like you'd have to know the game pretty well to be able to play a Ventrue or -- especially -- a Nosferatu.

Thanks for the links!

And for freaking out -- definitely Andrei's levels. Reminded me a bit of Queensland. *shudder* Squicky. . . .

Helps that she's voiced by Grey DeLisle (Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender). Though I've gotta admit I like quite a few of the characters - Jack, Mercurio, Damsel, Beckett, Abrams, Nines, even the creepier ones like Pisha and Strauss have their moments.

King's Way was more squick than nightmare fuel for me - aside from the fleshcrafted creatures, ESPECIALLY the hopping heads. I'd be walking along and suddenly KILLOHSHITWHERETHEFUCKDIDYOUCOMEFROM.

The parts that really freaked me out were bits of the Oceanside Hotel, Gimble's lair, and Grout's place. Having to go through that and listening to him get more and more insane from what he was hearing from LaCroix...

Ahh, yeah, I heard that she had, but I didn't know what character. And yeah, they all have their moments -- I always found Mr. Stuck-Up Prince kind of amusing. And I'm a fan of Beckett -- I mentioned up there that my ideal situation for the independent ending was "team up with him as the research assistant."

Ahh, yeah, I didn't get to hear all of Grout -- Helloween didn't stop at all of the tape recorders. Love the guy, but he's not someone you go to when you want 100% completion. (He did manage to save both Therese and Jeanette, though.)

Yeah, he starts at WTF and generally goes downhill from there. And that's not even considering what he did to his wife (or however long she's been like that.)
