crossover_chick | Exhausting Day

Mostly because I slept REALLY poorly last night. Woke up around 4:30 suddenly boiling hot for no reason I could think of, then just couldn't get back to sleep. :(

Despite that, I functioned pretty well today. Got my bus up to the mall, browsed Newbury for a bit. I ended up getting two things:

Good Omens -- maybe I'll read it after I've finished my current set of Discworld. (Started Carpe Jugulum, hooray for the witches of Lancre!) What the hell, I've heard good things about it and it's coauthored by Terry Pratchett, so. . .

The Evanescence album the open door. It was on sale and had more than one song I wanted on it, so I decided to go ahead and get it. And I still have $3.63 on my gift card!

After Newbury was Subway -- I got a dollar off a Chicken Teriyaki -- then into Dave & Buster's. I don't think I've ever seen the place so empty! Though it was nice to be able to play as many games of Fruit Ninja as I wanted. XD I played some of my favorite games, then redeemed the tickets I'd won and went about trying to buy MP3s from a kiosk they have there.
And wasted at least ten minutes trying to figure out how to "pay" for the damn things with my tickets. (Turns out I was leaving my card in the slot too long.) *facepalm* At least I got a good portion of the music I wanted.

After that, I decided to risk getting a Cookie Cookie shake at Ben & Jerry's (om nom), then raced down to the bus stop. Bus was late and I froze my hands off thanks to the cold winds. Ugh. But hey, at least I made the right bus. Took the bus to CCRI, where I picked up my Biology and Math books (Dad says he can can get me my English books). I killed some time on a computer there until the next bus came, and then -- home.

In its little box -- so shiiiny. :D Look at that pretty detail work! And my fingerprints. :p

Flip side out of the box. So lovely. It's rather small, but it has a nice weight in the hand. . . .
And a completely dull blade, don't look at me like that.
