The second chapter of the second book of The Fellowship of the Rings could stand to be shorter. Then again, maybe that's just me going, "Yes, thanks to popcultural osmosis I KNOW Saruman's bad and that you're going to be rescued by eagles GET ON WITH IT GANDALF." I dunno -- I like the book for the most part, but in some places Tolkien does get a little talkier than I like. We'll see how it goes.

As for me, I really ought to get to bed. Funny -- even when I don't have threads/reblogs/whatevers going, I stay up too late for my own good. . .and tonight I really have to change my sheets too, so night.

I've never read the Lord of the Rings series. I vaguely remember bits and pieces of one of the movies that I saw when I was younger. I can't remember much of it though. I'm not sure if I'd be interested in reading them or not. I think I read before that you're reading them for a school assignment? I hope they turn out to be a good read for you though.
"GET ON WITH IT!"
"YES, GET ON WITH IT!"

Goodnight! Sleep well and have sweet dreams! :)

Yeah, we're reading the three in my Fantasy Lit class. They're fairly good, if at times a litle wordy. XD I remember ages and ages ago reading The Hobbit, the first book in this sort of verse, but this is my first time reading LOTR.
