Shorter Than Usual EVL Entry

As in, it's only covering one day of their lives. But it was a pretty complicated day, since their new baby was born! I think I might go ahead and switch to an "updating one day at a time" schedule for EVL -- while it was nice getting two days out of the way each update, things are just too busy right now in his life. After all, we've just added a whole new member to the family, AND his business is rather rapidly gaining rank. (Frankly, playing that feels like playing a second day.) So yeah, let's dive into this:
Tues

Average enough morning at the Liddell household, right?

Well, except perhaps for Felicia sprouting flowers under her throne. Seriously, though, I kind of love the effect the beauty cocktail produces.

Strawberries are ready for harvest! EVL gets a grand total of 7 Mouthwatering specimens.

But he's got to pick fast, because Felicia's just gone into labor! And now, time for video!
It's a girl! Meet Lorina Liddell, with her daddy's skintone and hair, and her mother's eyes. I think the best part of this video are EVL's barely-seen reactions -- I never get the dads around in time to see the birth, so this was a treat, having him in the video.

Everyone's very excited to welcome little Lorina to the family. I almost named her Lizzie, but decided that Lorina might be better -- after all, we might be getting a Lizzie over in Inkwell Secundus soon. Best to avoid too much confusion.

A shot of how studying Parenting makes life easier -- hooray for baby thought balloons!

After discovering that teleport options do indeed not work with babies, Tom ends up the one to put Lorina to bed in her new nursery. Nothing special, but it's cute, right?

Tom also finishes his latest masterpiece -- a still life of a fish glitch in their pond. XD

Speaking of fish, Felicia's scored herself a Bronze fishing badge! This -- means rather little in a household where the inhabitants survive on magical mood boosts and juice. I should probably just start selling the fish. . .

EVL has a want to get a Gold Gardening badge, which is all right with me. So it's time to put his skills to work growing some pole beans.

But first, it's off to the store, where -- oh, hello Kimberly Kody, Evil High Witch? Interested in our wares? (The answer is no, as she wanders off straightaway. But still, that would have been interesting.)

Well, we don't need the patronage of the Evil High Witch. Business is booming.

EVL is quite the salesman. And I just love Sims' reactions to being Dazzled. XD

All the business earns him Rank 5 and a Gold Cash Register badge! I chose Motivational Speech for his perk this time.

Back at home after another successful day, EVL and Felicia do some baby bonding with Lorina.

EVL's the one stuck changing diapers, though -- Felicia has a fear related to it.

Besides, she's too busy maxing out her Cleaning skill. Soon every Sim in this household will have all their skills maxed, and I won't know what to do with them.

Glug glug glug -- EVL is a good daddy.

Meanwhile, Tom's home early thanks to a chance card -- he's been promoted to Investigatory Journalist! -- and does a little gardening.

Felicia catches bugs while I show off the big honking rock Tom just found. I've never gotten a Greta the Granite before, so I decided to keep it instead of sell it.

More fishing for Felicia while Tom works on both his Robotics badge and his Tinkering enthusiasm (and stock for EVL's shop).

A largemouth bass is the catch of the day! Again, dunno why I'm so proud of that because they neither sell fish nor eat them.

Inside, Tom doesn't get a new badge level, but he does max out Tinkering enthusiasm! My first Sim to do two! Congratulations, Tom!

And, in further good news, a little studying gets Felicia back to Infallibly Good status! I promptly have her make another Throne of Light. I hope to make one for each of the kids for their own use when they move out.

Tom, for his part, makes a new friend in Meadow. Possibly by talking about how the upcoming snow hopefully won't have any negative effects on him.

And we end our update with EVL playing with his new little girl. She's such a cutie -- let's hope she stays that way as a toddler.
Well, I hope you enjoyed that! Now I'm off to ponder the eternal puzzle of where the chapter breaks should go in "Secundus."
