Toddlerization Already?

Yup, took advantage of the opportunity to turn Lorina into a toddler early. And, actually, for a day that EVL didn't end up going to his store, a rather lot happened. Let's get the low-down:
Wed

We open on a shot of a robot doing manual labor while his master feeds a baby. Nah, just kidding, Tom loves this stuff.

And once Felicia wakes up, the whole house is abuzz with activity. One of these days, she'll earn a pottery badge. She can't stay making plates forever.

Tom maxes out his Charisma, putting him one Body skill point away from having all skills maxed. I guess I'll have to have him work relentlessly on badges once he achieves that. After all, being an immortal robot, he's got time.

Another orange harvest brings 9 Tasty oranges into the household. Once their current plants give up their crops, I'm making them a proper greenhouse. Winter's acoming, after all.

Felicia skips another day of work for some "mommy time" with her little girl. Aww.

EVL's still the one changing the diapers, though.

One of Felicia's wants for a while was to max out the Nature hobby, so I had her birdwatch when she wasn't doing anything else. No dice, but she's still up pretty damn far.

And making best friends with your baby is arguably more important.

. . .Though not as important as discussing your favorite hobbies with your husband. Parents of the year here.

And then I have EVL play with his baby and all is adorable again --

AND THEN THE GODDAMN STOVE CATCHES ON FIRE AGAIN. Fortunately Felicia is now the type to immediately whip out the fire extinguisher, and EVL -- hey, where is he? Oh, he must be going to get Lorina to safety --

PARENTS OF THE FUCKING YEAR

Fortunately, between Felicia and the fireman, the fire's quickly put out. Good news for Lorina, eh? Seriously, aren't Sims supposed to whisk babies and toddlers AWAY from fires?!

Tom comes home with a promotion to Magazine Editor, and a memory of earning 25,000. Between this, Felicia's job, and EVL's store, the family's going to become multimillionaires very quickly.

Remember those useless fish I talked about last update? Useless because my Sims barely eat? Well, I found a use for them -- wall decoration! The catfish is EVL's, the bass Felicia's.

Since they had nothing better to do at the moment, I sent them out to catch more wall decorations. EVL's kind of failing at this -- this is his SECOND casting attempt in a row to end like this.

Felicia ends up catching another catfish and bass, while EVL eventually gives up and magically teleports out to clean up a mess she left in the bathroom earlier.

Playing with Babies -- not sure you're doing it right, Tom.

I abruptly remember EVL has friends and quickly call up Contessa Edith (remember her?) to chat. "Yeah, it feels like the world is at my fingertips!" Not technically true until you max out magic skill, EVL.

More epic than it looks here -- by maxing out her Mechanical, Felicia's actually maxed out ALL her skills! I guess she has plenty of time to work on that pottery badge now.

Speaking of badges, Tom now has a shiny Silver badge in Robotics! Slowly getting more useful for the shop!

But first, birthday time! In the last half-hour of Wednesday, since I was waiting for Lorina to poop so she wouldn't hold things up thanks to need failure.

We blow out the candles, and. . .

It's a toddler! With a visible personality! 7 Neat, 2 Shy, 9 Active, 10 Playful -- 1 Grouchy. How did the two nicest Sims I've ever gotten married have a kid who's 1 Grouchy?!

Well, at least she's adorable. I tweaked her clothes and hair to make her look a bit cuter. It looks like she takes rather strongly after daddy.

And we'll end with a shot of the room adjusted for toddlerhood, with a dedicated smartmilk counter. Smartmilk and the fall skill bonus -- yeah, this kid's gonna get ahead quickly in life.
And that's the EVL family for another week! Seriously, though, 1 Grouchy. . .that kid's going to need some major encouraging.
