More EVL Shenanigans

Shall we discuss what's been going on with EVL and family since we last checked in?
Thurs

Didn't you make best friends with your parents while you were on the toilet?

Downstairs, something a bit more epic happens -- Tom maxes out his Body skill! This means he's maxed out all his skills! And that means none of my three adults have any more skills to work on!
. . .What the hell do I do?

Fortunately, EVL is still only an 8 in magic skill, so I have him spend some time at the cauldron making reagents to try and earn some more. And to stock up on mystic dust, since you can never have enough.

Tom had the day off, so EVL took him along to the store early so Felicia could go to work later without anybody leaving the baby alone. Tom mans the register while EVL does some restocking.

See this woman in the red shirt? Officially the bane of my existence. You see, she's the reporter. EVL tried to greet her with an admire, which she promptly rejected. She then proceeded to reject all attempts to sell her anything.

EVL tries desperately to salvage the situation with a Benemoodus Simae.

But the damage is done, and the business gets a bad review from her. WTF was I supposed to do?! You didn't let me have a chance to fix things!
Bitchy Reporter, however, is not indicative of how popular the establishment is. I've really got to think about expanding it again. And adding more merchandise. And maybe hiring an employee or two.

Tom earns himself Bronze badges in both Sales and Cash Register -- though the latter comes at the price of a customer service star. (We manage to earn it back later, though.) EVL, of course, is still dazzling pretty much every customer he comes into contact with.

All in all, business is going very well. They're even able to sell a bit more merchandise than normal because EVL has some spares in his inventory.

Jump-roping asshole. You are getting in the way of commerce. Seriously, what is up with the Sim obsession with jump roping?

Tom washes windows. I worry about this interaction because it involves being near water, but apparently this doesn't do anything to him. Maybe it's just cleaning showers? At any rate, I kept him well away from the store bathroom.

Back at home, Felicia makes Lorina her first batch of smart milk.

LOL -- when she glows like that thanks to the milk, Lorina DEFINITELY looks like her mother's child. XD

More gardening -- growing these pole beans and peppers has been a bit tricky. And winter's a-coming. I really do have to build them a greenhouse.

However, good things are happening -- Lorina's potty trained! I love smart milk.

Daddy works on his magic skills, while daughter earns herself a bunch of Creativity.

And uncle Robot makes an army of toy robots, a few of which need to be repaired before being sold.

Yup, just another typical day at the Liddells.

Tom may not be all that involved with Lorina yet, but he's willing to put her to bed in quite the cutesy manner.

Have I mentioned lately just how much I love Beautificus Locus? If you're wondering why it got cast, I was trying to prevent overwatering via rainstorm.

I suddenly remember the toddler/kid activity table and quickly buy one for Lorina. She proceeds to get a lot of mechanical skill.

Felicia starts her little one on walking lessons. They don't get to finish because of walls and Lorina's bladder need getting in the way, but it's a good start.

Downstairs, EVL snags himself a Bronze fishing badge. Which is completely useless, considering they don't eat. Still, it's fun and gives him something to do, and something to work on.

And so the day ends with EVL and Felicia fishing together and discussing the bucketloads of money they're making. Felicia made College Dean of Students today, and business is going well at Little N' Local Robots -- they're only 2 stars away from a new rank. They've got over 70,000 simoleons in the bank. Next update might include house and business remodeling. They can afford it.
And that's your Sims update for the day! I dunno how exciting you found it, but hey, the gang's consistently improving themselves. And Lorina's already proving to be a skill-building dynamo. We'll see what sort of person she turns out to be, and thus what business venture she'll be best suited for. As it is, right now I've got tumblr business to attend to. Later!
EDIT: Okay, can I just say that it's really annoying that the preview feature tells you JACK SQUAT if something's wrong with the cut tag?
