New Secundus Chapter and EVL Update!

I told you I'd have a new one up! Here's Chapter 17, The One Where Victor Goes Mad! Also the one where Alice makes a rather epic entrance. Enjoy! :D
And now, for EVL's half of the update:
Friday

After a good night's sleep, walking lessons resume for Lorina.

And pay off! Lorina has officially Learned to Walk! Two toddler skills down, two to go.

And then it's time for a bath before we have a particularly stinky toddler.

EVL, for his part, has spent the morning getting ready for an early day at the shop -- both Felicia and Tom have work, which means he's got to be home before their carpools so he can stay home with the baby. Once at Little N' Local Robots, he earns himself a Silver Restocking Badge!

The store opens for business, and with a little quick salesmanship, EVL earns the two stars he needs to get up to Rank 6! I choose Assess Desire for the perk. Dunno how useful it'll be, but we'll see.

Hmmm -- doesn't look like too many people are reading that bad review to me. Though admittedly traffic isn't as bad as it has been before. At least it makes it easier to EVL to run the shop alone.

When a dazzle goes wrong, though, and customers start sighing over out of stock signs, EVL and I know it's time to close up for the day.

EVL neatens up the bushes outside after restocking, while I decide to put those dream date bouquets in his inventory to work and showcase them in his shop. Honestly, the place needs a bit of a remodel, as does his house. I'm waiting until they hit 100,000 simoleons to do anything, though. (Hell, I've been wondering if the family just shouldn't go ahead and move to a bigger place. Thoughts?)

Back at home, the other adults go to work, and Lorina spends some time drawing at the activity table. Adorable, isn't she?

Smartmilked up, Lorina earns some Creativity while EVL deals with a toddler-potty-related toilet clog.

And then it's on to learning how to talk! This was her first pictogram. (Think that's the right word.)

Always rather sweet when they say "Mommy" or "Daddy" for the first time.

The instant she Learns to Talk, she starts whining for attention. XD Not pictured is EVL tossing her in the air, and getting vomited on.

A little gardening -- that's another thing they need, a greenhouse.

Tom comes home having fulfilled a big want -- he's a Media Magnate, top of the Journalism career! Hooray for Tom!

Felicia, meanwhile, is still stuck at College Dean (I need to make one more friend for her to advance), but at least she's collecting a bunch of interesting bugs. She got a couple of butterflies and spiders, and she's up to 12 out of 30 in her bug box.

She also gets herself a Bronze Pottery badge -- which is funny, because that plate she's working on turns out to be one of the duds. XD

EVL makes some reagents while his kid learns Charisma. Gotta make full use of Fall's skilling bonus!

Felicia teaches Lorina the nursery rhyme. At first Lorina is reluctant to go along. . .

. . .but eventually she starts having fun with it.

I still think it's a little sad the Nursery Rhyme doesn't have a unique memory icon, at least for when it pops up over the Sim's head.

And we end on Lorina earning some Logic while winter falls outside and denies me an orange crop. Bleh. Ah well, always next season -- and maybe by Spring, EVL will have a Gold Gardening badge.
So yeah, hope you enjoyed that. And any thoughts on what I should do about the housing situation (remodel the current place again, or pack up some things and move) would be appreciated.
