Another Busy EVL Day

Let's see how things are going in Steampunk Gulch!
Saturday

We start with EVL summoning Greebo for some companionship. I find this an interesting spell, but I'm never sure what to do with the cat. He can't get a job, he never ages, he can't breed. . .

Well, there's always commands to teach. EVL starts Greebo on learning how to sit up.

While upstairs, Felicia plays with her baby. Aren't they cute?

Downstairs, Greebo eventually gets the hang of this whole "sitting up" thing.

EVL gives him a little love before sending him back to the spectral planes. Another plus in the cat's favor -- it won't crowd up the place unless you let it.

EVL also gives a little love to his daughter, because he's a good daddy.

Just another day at the house that I'm not sure fits them anymore.

Felicia's making good use of her Bronze pottery badge -- she creates a lovely vase and tea set. I keep the vase for later display purposes.

NO! No snow! Winter already stole a crop of oranges from me! Fortunately, we have a weather machine on the premises that can get rid of this horrid white stuff and spare me bland veggies.

Over at Little N' Local Robots, things are cooking. Even with a bad review, this store is doing quite well.

I always find it hilarious when EVL dazzles someone. The faces. . . XD

EVL works the crowd while Tom gets his cashiering on. He actually does pretty well -- good enough to get the Silver Cash Register badge!

Then they switch jobs, allowing Tom to get a Silver Sales badge. We'll make a business owner out of you yet, Tom.

EVL does a little restocking, hoping to make more sales before the day is through.

Tom digs for treasure outside and finds a rock as the sun sets and the customer flow slackens.

EVL manages to dazzle a customer into one last sale.

Customers bitching about out of stock signs and starting to play jump rope? Time to close up shop.

Then EVL does some birdwatching while Tom makes a few toy robots. I don't like to make them on-site, as it cuts into profits, but it is convenient that they all go into EVL's inventory when I do. Maybe when I expand the shop. . .

Back at home, I figure I ought to use the high chair at least once and put Lorina into it. She promptly tantrums for food. Brat.

But it is kind of amusing to watch her eat toddler mush.

One of Lorina's drawings from the table. She's a very creative toddler, don't you think? (She's actually already up to a six in the skill.)

Socialization is needed, as some of these guys are about to lose friends. That's the trouble with having a magical chair that ups all your needs and all that -- you forget about things like having your Sim make friends. EVL thus calls up his old cheerleader buddy, Daisy, and tells her all about his now-Rank-7 store. (His new perk is Look For Mark.)

While Felicia magically summons her friend Katelyn from the void to talk about her Eastern vacation. And accidentally knocks herself down from Infalliably Good status. Whoops -- ah well, we've got the spare throne now. We'll worry about her status later.

And hell, maybe losing her magical aura was a small price to pay for getting a new best friend.

Just putting this here because I think Katelyn's face is funny.

Pole bean harvest! They get 6 Tasty ones. Now if only the pepper plant would offer up its bounty. . .

Late that night, with Tom making robots and Lorina playing with the logic puzzle, EVL brings up an interesting topic of conversation:
EVL: You're a Family Sim. Want another kid?

She does indeed. Unfortunately, their try didn't result in a lullaby. I'll try again next time I play them, probably after Lorina's become a kid. Though maybe I should wait until I've decided what to do about their house. . .
Yeah, still trying to decide between a redesign and a move. I don't think I've ever moved a family like this before. Moved just one or two Sims out, sure. But the whole family? Usually once they get to their main hood, they pick a lot and just stay there. Hmmm. Still, I really do think they need more room. . . I'll decide by their Sunday. Though if anyone has any advice, I'm game.
